Lace is definitely IN this season, it's an age old product but can now be seen on everything in the stores, from the back of tank tops, to dresses to skirts, lace is big, and no, you can purchase lace as part of your beauty routine in this can of Batiste Dry shampoo Lace.
According to Batiste dry shampoo lace is also seductive and elegant! They say, "No need to worry about skipping a shampoo with Batiste Dry Shampoo featuring a Seductive & Elegant fragrance. Instantly refreshes hair, banished oil and gives hair body and boost."
I'm not actually sure why Batiste bring out lots of different varieties of their dry shampoo, yes I understand having different flavours such as the tropical one or the cherry one as nice different smells, but even though this has a lace variety nice scent and is quite pleasant and nice on the hair, it's really nothing to do with lace and just another variety to choose from. I guess that's the point, they bring out some new packaging and a bit different of a smell and people will buy it because it's new and different and a change from their regular dry shampoo. That's really why I bought it, that and oh, I quite like the design of the bottle it comes in!
I buy Batiste because it really works. I have quite greasy hair a day after washing it but because I have spent so long washing and straightening it to look nice I don't want to go through that hassle everyday and with two small children I just don't have time either so Batisite dry shampoo really saves me time and actually gives my hair some texutre and bounce that it doesn't normally have. I often apply this dry shampoo even when I have just washed it to give it a bit of volume and so my hair doesn't go lank and boring.
According to the can, "Batiste Dry Shampoo banishes oily roots, giving dull, lifeless hair the makeover it needs without any water. A quick burst revitalises hair, adds body and texture and leaves it feeling clean and fresh too."
This lace can is really quite pretty. It features a lovely black lace design, drawn over a pink colour and it just looks very sophisticated and fancy. The dry shampoo is really easy to use. You basically spray it onto greasy hair at the roots, leave it for a few moments and then brush it through. I guess I have perfected the use of this over the years but I manage to get all the white powder out of my hair and my hair just looks really natural and fresh. The smell of Batiste lace is actually quite nice and sweet and a nice change from the natural one I usually use. The fragrance stays on my hair for a while afterwards but is not too overpowering.
A nice way to "wash" my hair inbetween washes!
Although I am not a huge fan of dry shampoo, I am trying to use more and more so that I can eventually break the cycle of my greasy hair - I need to wash it every day because its get greasy but it gets greasy because I wash it every day (or so my mum tells me all the time).
Having used a few brands in the past, I haven't been that impressed however I do like the Batiste range. Recently, on a visit to Boots, I noticed this new version and decided to buy. What first struck me was the 'grown up' design of the can; it is peach with a black lace all over the can.
Before you use, shake the can quite vigorously, hold the can about 30cm away from your head and then spray all over your hair (particularly focusing in the roots). Then massage through your hair, brush and style as normal.
Like most dry shampoos, it comes in an aerosol and retails for around £2.99 for 200ml, it is available from most supermarkets, places such as Boots and it seems to be available online too. You can also buy a 400ml can for around £5. This version is part of the fragranced range (Batiste do different dry shampoos for volume, colour, fragrance etc), it has a subtle floral fragrance which although isn't overpowering, it isn't my favourite fragrance as I prefer fruity smelling hair products. After about 20minutes though, the fragrance has subsided so it doesn't clash with my perfume.
The first time I used, I was a little concerned as it dispensed a white powder all over my hair but as I started to massage into my hair, this disappeared. My hair looked a lot better and a lot cleaner. One thing I do like about using the shampoo is it does give my hair additional volume and bounce (which it tends to lack, especially when it is ready for being washed). The desired 'clean' look lasted most of the day, although if I go out, I take the can with me just in case I need to 'top up'.
I think this is ideal for holidays or festivals where it may not be practical to wash your hair, I tend to use my on a Sunday when I am not going out, or in the morning is I have washed my hair the evening before, I don't think I would ever use for work as I would be too paranoid that people would spot that I hadn't washed my hair!
Overall, whilst this doesn't give my hair that just washed feeling, it does make it look a lot better and cleaner, I also think it is one of the better brands that are on the high street, I would recommend it and give the product 4 out of 5 stars.
