My hair is quite greasy so I have found the most fantastic product to take care of it. Often I do not want to wash my hair everyday as I have spent ages straightening it etc, the day before and wanted something that would help with the grease when I came across Batiste Dry Shampoo. It says on the can, "refreshes and revitalises hair between washes."

It comes in a 150ml spray can. I always buy mine in Boots where it costs £2.09 per can. This is good as I have seen some other dry shampoo's out there from places such as Bumble and Bumble that cost upwards of £20.

When you spray it onto your hair it comes out in a fine mist much like the consistency of talcum powder. To use you shake the can first, hold the nozzle a little way away from your hair and then spray lightly onto your hair, concentrating on all the greasy areas. Beware: this gets everywhere! As it is a talc light mist if you spray it in the air it falls onto all your surfaces and covers them in a light powder so I would recommend not using over black surfaces where it will really show up.

After you have sprayed it on I suggest leaving it on for a few minutes. I then get my brush and brush/shake the excess powder off. Make sure you brush it out everywhere or it leaves a greyish powder in your hair that makes you look like you've got grey hair.

The best thing about this product is that it really really works. Once used it takes all the grease out of my hair, especially at the roots. It also gives my hair a bit of volume which is nice and sometimes it looks even better than if I have just washed it. If you have quite dull and lank hair this will really perk it up. I have quite dark blond hair and I find this spray also lights it up quite a bit which is nice. I tend to find you can only use it for one or two days after washing your hair, anymore and the effect does not really work and the greasy look will still come through.

The container is pressurised as it works with butane and is extremely flammable. I find it's best to keep it in a dark place such as a bathroom cabinet. My only disappointment with this product is that I find a can does not last very long. Sometimes the spray does not come out too well even though there is some still left in the can and does not cover your hair with the powder like it should. This may be due to the nozzle being blocked which can be unblocked with warm water but generally I only get about two to three weeks of use out of each can. Saying that though for a great price and the fact that it works so well I would definitely recommend this product.
