Miracle for greasy hair (Batiste Dry Shampoo)

My hair has a tendancy to become greasy very quickly. I could wash it in the morning, straighten it and then by evening I would look like a grease monster. If I use any styling products such as hair serum or heat protection sprays its even worse. Seeing as I don?t want to have to wash and straighten my hair two times a day I decided to give Batiste Dry Shampoo a go. It comes in a green and yellow can which doesn?t look overly attractive but nevermind, im not buying it because its pretty!

In addition to having greasy hair, if I wash my hair too often I get a dry sore scalp so every now and again it does me good to leave my hair for two days without washing it, so this product seemed like the ideal solution. I had read some good reviews on this product so added it to my shopping list the next time I went to Tescos. After a bit of searching as it was quite randomly placed on a shelf, I found it. It cost just over £2 and I have seen it range from between £1 and £3 in various other shops. The best place to buy it seems to be somewhere like savers.
The can I brought was ?orginal? although in other shops it is also possible to get a ?tropical? one. I have since used this too and the only difference is a slightly more interesting fragrance, although the original one smells ok and has quite a fresh clean fragrance. The product is designed to refresh hair between washes and the claims on the bottle state that it ?revitalises greasy, dull and lifeleles hair between washes. Instantly leaves your hair feeling clean, full of body and smelling beautiful?.

When I use the product I spray about 30cm from my head as instructed and will usually focus on my roots as this is where it gets most greasy. As you spray it on it looks like someone has put a fine white powder on your hair you then need to use your hands to rub/massage it into your hair. Then leave it for a few seconds to do its magic and brush it out. The effect is instant and my hair really does look cleaner, fresher and less greasy.
It is perfect for if I have been working all day and want to go out in the evening without the hassle of washing and styling my hair again. It has also enabled me to leave my hair two days without washing it which has had a positive impact on my dry itchy scalp! The product itself is incredibly gentle on your hair and scalp so no negative effects to mention. It definitely does its job on my hair and I now consider it as essential as my makeup! I always make sure I have a bottle of it at home and if I travel. It is easy to use, smells nice and works in the way you want it too. The only disadvantage is that if you use it regularly it does run out quite quickly. I have a lot of hair and tend to use a fair bit sometimes so the can runs out after a couple of weeks or so. However, it is really worth it if you have greasy hair or even if you just want to freshen up your hair before you go out. A great product that I wholeheartedly recommend!
