The answer to problem hair.. and it's cheap! (Batiste Dry Shampoo)

I don't really know what I did before I discovered Batiste. It was a friend who recommended 'dry shampoo' to me. I'd never heard of it, dry conditioners, yes but not dry shampoo.

When I was shopping in Wilkinson, I spotted it and have bought it there ever since. I think it's relatively hard to get hold of and they do not sell it in my local Boots or Superdrug. (Although having read other reviews Boots stock it but maybe only selected stores, ours is quite a little one.) A 150ml can costs just under £2. This usually lasts 3-4 weeks which isn't a bad price.

If you've not used a dry shampoo before, here's how it works. It's basically like a powder in can which you spray over your hair. All the dirt and grease is soaked up by the powder and you simply brush it out. You need to shake the can well to get the best results as it just simply won't spray out enough product if you don't shake enough. You need to be quite thorough with the brushing out as if you leave any powder in it's bright white and very noticeable. A bristle brush will work better than any other.

It will never be an alternative to nice, just washed clean hair, but when you just haven't got time, or your hair is having a really bad day and needs refreshing it really is a good product. I have quite greasy hair and I find it starts to get greasy even the evening of the morning I've washed it. This stuff is great for me to use in between washes. Also, washing your hair too much just isn't good for it, and can lead to drying of the scalp, even if the hair itself gets greasy. This is a great product to avoid over washing by giving you an alternative that works (and is a lot less hassle!)

I use the dry shampoo about 3 times a week and I would recommend it to all. Great for people with problem hair, and the lazy!! Try it!
