Batiste Dry shampoo is a spray-on hair revitalizer. It's based on a talc formulation that's intended for use between washes to keep hair looking fresh, and it works by absorbing the oils and moisture found in day-old washed hair. You spray it directly onto your hair.

My hair tends to need to be washed every day, or it will look too greasy, dull and won't stay in place. I use this on the days when I haven't got time to wash my hair, and it definitely makes my hair look cleaner. Upon applying the product, I instantly feel a 'lift' to my hair, like it's lighter with more volume. As the day wears on, the effects do wear off and it isn't a shampoo in that it doesn't actually 'clean' your hair - just makes it look and feel that way. By the end of the day, my hair feels about as limp as before I first apply it. This product leaves no residue. It's more of a 'mist' than the traditional appearance of talc, and once you brush it through it's completely invisible.

This original Batiste product does have a bit of an artificial odour to it which I don't like. I much prefer their newer fragranced dry shampoos.

Batiste Dry Shampoo costs around £2 for 150ml. It's a good price but doesn't last me very long, even with only occasional use.

I recommend this shampoo for occasional use, and with the knowledge that you'll probably have to reapply it through the day.

Summary: An effective product, but I would buy this in 'blush'
