I remember years ago (during my teenage years) using good old talcum powder for reviving my greasy (at the time) hair in between washes.

I have never used a dry shampoo until recently as I always associate these products to leave my hair feeling dull, white and dusty like talc..how I have been proven wrong!

Having seen this Batiste Dry Shampoo spray on the hair care shelves in my local Superdrug I finally succumbed last week and bought a tin.

Will it leave my hair feeling manky or 'refresh my hair in between washes' as the tin promises?

My friend swears by this product so this was something else that swayed me to purchasing it, so here we go..

The product~
The dry shampoo comes in a 150ml can. The can itself varies in colour due to the different fragrances of which there are a few (including original, tropical and diva to name a few), but I chose the cool sounding Boho which is orange with a green/turquoise coloured plastic lid.
There is the writing on the front of the tin with the logo in white and on the back is the relevant information. There at first appears to be a lot of writing until you look closely (it's wrote very small) and realise only a small amount is relevant that is presuming you speak English, as there are a lot of other languages underneath.

Using the product~
As I normally wash my hair every second day I decided to leave it for three whole days to ensure I could try the product properly.
According to the can you need to hold it approximately 30cm's from your hair and then spray.
I followed the instructions and found the can emits a fine (ish) spray which is white in colour. Yes it does have a look of very fine talcum powder but it is such a fine mist it doesn't 'clump' on your hair, just coats it.

Depending on how much you spray is up to the individual and their hair length. I have a choppy, shoulder length style and found that 6 short spritzes was sufficient.

Once applied you need to massage the dry shampoo through you hair with your fingers then leave for a good few minutes. If you are not grey then this will give you an insight into what you will look like in twenty years time!

After a few minutes simply brush through your hair..voila - instant 'clean' hair.

So it all sounds good but does it work..?

My thoughts~
I have to say I am very, very impressed with this product!
I never thought for one minute it would make my hair feel refreshed but I am amazed how it does.

It doesn't feel clean like if you have just shampooed it, it's hard to describe as it feels silky, soft and manageable (sorry I sound like an advert there!).
This particular fragrance Boho is very nice smelling - again it's hard to pinpoint any particular aroma but to me it smelt quite tropical and fruity.

All in all I would recommend trying this dry shampoo as it does excatly what it says on the can!

Prices may vary but I paid £1.95 from Superdrug.
