Advantages: Smells amazing, strengthens your hair

Disadvantages: Price

I absolutely adore this product and think it is well worth paying that little bit extra for. I have coloured hair that tends to be on the dry side, I have seen a clear improvement in the strength of my hair since beginning to use this in the middle of last year, I now alternate it with the Bilberry colour protect one (also Body Shop).

As a consumer it is important to me that the brands I buy have an element of corporate social responsibility and The Body Shop is a cracking example of just such a brand. People were concerned when Dame Anita Roddick sold it to L'Oreal in 2006 there were concerns over whether it might lose its sensibilities as regards ethical concerns. However, they do seem to have whethered the storm and in fact support and promote even more ethically centred campaigns than they did prior to the takeover.

I do appreciate that the prices of items in the Body Shop do put them out of reach of many consumers, especially in the current climate, but they do therefore make excellent presents for people as treat items. I was over the moon to receive at least 6 months supply of my favourite products at christmas (including large bottles of the Honey Moisturising Shampoo and Conditioner). You can of course also pick them up cheaper on ebay and if you are a frequent shopper then the love your body card, which gives you 10% off is a must have! (pick one up instore!).

This particular conditioner smells absolutely edible (like most products they make!), it leaves my hair particularly shiny and soft and I do believe it has made my hair thicker and stronger too, if your hair is dry this gives it a real boost, it also lathers really easily and I find that you do not need to use loads of it for your hair to feel clean.

This product contains organic olive oil from Italy, organic honey from Zambia and fairly farmed bananas from the carribean, no wonder it smells so tasty!

An excellent product from a great store.

Summary: Great treat for your hair
