My hair is very long, very tangly, and I dye it frequently, so it often needs a little TLC. I use an ordinary conditioner every time I wash my hair, but sometimes it needs a little bit more. I've tried many intensive conditioners, some are great, some are distinctly average - but this is one of the best.

You leave the hair mask on freshly shampooed and rinsed hair for 5 minutes, then rinse. During this time, the Intensive Hair Mask works its magic, and it leaves my hair feeling really soft and silky. While the hair is still wet, it feels like it has a silky coating, and when it is dry, it becomes super-soft and much more manageable. The noticeable effect does last quite a while (a day or two), but I'm sure it keeps my hair looking healthier in the long term - given the abuse I've dished out on my poor hair over the years!

It has a very pleasant, strong coconut smell (I can't really detect the almond), which is a little artificial but still nice. The mask is very 'stringy' when you scoop it out of the pot - This looks a little strange and feels funny, but makes the product that little bit different.

It's quite reasonably priced (as are all other items of the Boots own brand), and is definitely worth what you pay for it. My hair loves this intensive mask, it leaves it sleeker, shinier, and smelling great.
