Advantages: Long-lasting lovely smelling hair, controls frizzy bits of hair, smoothes and shines, cheap
Disadvantages: Can only buy in Boots
Whenever I see my 8 year old cousin and I give her a hug, I always notice that she has lovely smelling her. I noticed this a few times and so I asked her mum what she was using in her hair and it was Boots Coconut & Almond Oil which is a leave-in conditioner. I went out and bought some straight away, not necessarily needing a leave-in conditioner but the smell it left in her hair was lovely and the shampoos and conditioners that I use don't leave a lasting smell.
~ Packaging ~
It comes in a lightweight, small and clear 150ml plastic bottle with a spray top lid. The colour of the liquid is a musky white colour which makes it look like it has come straight from a coconut.
~ Purpose ~
The label on the pack says that it is for dry hair which I don't really have, but it works well on my hair, so I think it would be fine with all hair types. It has natural extracts of coconut and almond in it which is specially formulated to "moisturise and smooth hair for softness, shine and tangle free hair".
~ Directions ~
After washing and towel drying your hair, spray the conditioner from root to tip and comb it through.
~ Results and my opinion ~
The first thing I noticed about the conditioner was the lovely smell of coconut when I sprayed it on my hair. It's quite a strong smell which lingers in the air for a while after you've sprayed it and the smell lasts in your hair overnight or for the majority of the day. After I've sprayed it I can't help but hold my hair up to my nose to sniff it and my husband has commented a few times on how nice my hair smells. At night it also leaves my pillow with a fresh smell. If my hair looks or feels slightly greasy, a small spray of this will sort this out and make it look shinier and not as greasy. It also softens and flattens those out of control bits of hair and any excess frizz. It moisturises and smoothes your hair which makes it a lot easier to get a comb through it as my hair gets quite knotty. Directly after spraying it, it makes your hair look a little wet but that dries within a few minutes to leave it looking nice and shiny.
Even if you use conditioner when you wash your hair (which I do), I think this is a great product. It's nice and cheap at only £1.29 and lasts for a long time. It's a great product to get your hair looking and feeling (and smelling) much nicer.
Summary: A fab little product that works great in your hair

- 07/04/09 My hair gets greasy too easily for leave in conditioners, but I love the shampoo and conditioner in this range, they smell great! Nice review :) |

- 07/04/09 Great review here and what a price for something that works so well! Sometimes Boots products are really good, even though I've got virtually little hair, I've tried their standard Almond oil shampoo and have been impressed with it. |
