Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: None really
I was caught out recently and ran out of shampoo in the middle of the week, I live in a rural location with few major shops to hand so like to stock up at weekends when in town. Luckily I managed to get to my local tiny Boots store before it closed and grabbed the first bottle of shampoo I saw.
It turned out to be their own brand coconut and almond oil one, I hadnt used this before and was a little sceptical as it was so cheap and normally, well for me at least, cheap shampoos leave me cold. It cost me £1,29 for a 250ml bottle.
The following morning during my daily shower I gave the shampoo a try. I was immediately impressed by the fact the cap had a flip top lid, they make my life a lot easier as I hate having to faff about with screw tops when my hands are wet and soapy.
The smell of coconut hit me in the face straight away on opening the bottle, it took me back to the last holiday I had in sunnier climes and put a big smile on my face. The shampoo itself is thick but is easy to get out of the bottle, it has a creamy texture and felt wonderful as I massaged it into my hair and scalp.
I found this easy to rinse out and was impressed with how soft my locks felt, I had to use conditioner afterwards but this shampoo leaves my hair a lot softer than other cheap shampoos I've used in the past.
I would definitely buy this again and the matching conditioner for even more of a coconut hit. It's a bargain and not one to be overlooked. It compares very well with more expensive brands.
Summary: A cheap shampoo that leaves hair soft and shiny
