It has only been the past few months I have actually been buying shops own brands to try save myself a bit of money, but this one shampoo I have always got stocked up in my bathroom.

I like to try new shampoos all the time just so my hair doesn't become prone to one shampoo and begin to get dry, which it often does unfortunately.

Once whilst treating myself to a cut and blowdry in a not so cheap, but stunning hairdressers near me they told me my hair and scalp was quite dry, so they told me they were going to use a shampoo designed especially for dry hair and scalps. As they lathered it into my scalp the smell of coconut flowed around me, it smelt divine! I LOVE the smell of coconut, it's one of them 'things' which make me smile, and also reminds me of summer (something else which makes me smile) and holidays. I asked the hairdresser what shampoo what she was using and she told me it was one they bought from their hairdressers retailers so wasn't sure what one it was, but coconut shampoos are suited to dry hair as it nourishes hair and scalp.

This is what made me decide to shop around for a nice smelling coconut shampoo. When trying out new shampoos I do like to have a whiff, I mean it does always help if you like the smell of what you are washing your hair with doesn't it?. Well I came across Boots own Coconut and Almond Oil Shampoo for just £1.30 a 300ml bottle. I flipped open the lid, and the smell was strong, coconutty and sweet exactly how I wanted it to smell. I couldn't resist I had to buy it, especially for that price (and of course earning my Boots Advantage Card points back at the same time). I also purchased the conditioner, as my hair is terrible for getting knotty.

The shampoo is a lovely consistency so not to much comes out of the bottle when you are squeezing it onto your hand, instead it just dribbles a little, perfect when you just want a blob about the size of a 50 pence piece in the palm of your hand. It lathers up beautifully, and as the shampoo lathers in your hair the smell of coconut gets stronger. I can't really smell almond to be honest, but this doesn't put me off as the fresh coconut aroma is enough for me. After rinsing the shampoo and conditioner off, my hair, no actually my whole head feels and smells so clean, fresh and of course like coconut.

Now if you are somebody who likes the smell of coconut this shampoo really is a treat, especially if you have dry hair. It really does leave my hair feeling and also looking softer. Brilliant price too!
