Advantages: CHEAP, GIVES YOU GOOD HOLD

Disadvantages: THE SMELL, STICKINESS AND DIFFICULT TO COMB OUT

I brought this product whilst running through the station to catch a train on new years - I realised the English weather had absolutely no consideration for my high hairstyle what so ever! I usually use maximum hold silverkin hairspray, but this was cheap at around 89 pence for a large can, so I thought it would do as...well, all hairsprays are the same aren't they?? Well the answer is no!
I brought the non-perfumed version of this as I'm not into getting suffocated everytime I try to fix my hair! The tin is light purple with a plain white spray top and text printed on the can in white writing. It works great and my hair does stay exactly where it should, however it always feels really really sticky and just the thought of trying to pull a comb through it after the night out makes me wince! My usual silvikrin option makes my hair as solid as rock! Which might be a con to some, but that's what maximum hold is all about right and at least it brushes out easily afterwards...this flaked really badly and as I had flame red hair at the time made me look like I had a really bad case of dandruff! Also considering it was the unperfumed version, only god knows how pungent the normal one must have been. This stuff smelt so toxic I'm almost certain it could power my flat for a week with one spray! It gets right into the back of your throat and really made me cough and splutter.

To be honest though I'm not going to be all doom and gloom about this product - at the end of the day it is cheap and an 'own' make as well. Even though it did make my hair extremely sticky and clogged at the end of the day it did keep it in place. I just think it's a case of getting what you pay for! I'm not a massive hairspray user and only tend to use it when imp going for a big night out and I want to do something extravagant, for this it is fine...I'm not sure it's an everydayer though

Summary: Cheap, but you get what you pay for!
