I have very long, straight hair which tends to be quite flat at times, and I find that this can be hard to manage at times. I am constantly seeking something which can give my hair that extra boost, and after dabbling which some rather expensive hair care products, I thought it would be worth a shot to try Boots' own brand volumising styling mousse. It comes in quite a plain bottle which is expected of an own brand product, however the line is available in lots of metallic shades which makes them a bit more easy on the eye than the typical white and black own brand products. You get 200ml worth of product which is a fair amount, and it retails for a mere £1.02 ... Read the complete review

I was complaining the other day to my mum about my thin, lanky hair. I do try and always have a volumising shampoo on the go, alongside other shampoo's, but some are better than others in terms of effectiveness on my hair. I'm not terribly great at blow drying my hair into a specific shape, mostly because I simply don't have time in the morning, so after my mum listened a while to my moans, she suggested that I buy a volumising mousse, which she had started to use on her hair, which a very positive effect. Now, she actually uses a l'oreal brand of mousse, but I actually ended up purchasing the Boots essentials range volumising mousse costing me £1 in comparison to the Read the complete review

When I blow dry my hair I like to try and get some extra volume as I have really thin flat hair. I try and achieve this look by using mousse after showering, blow drying my hair upside down then finishing it off with a big brush. So far I hadn't found a miracle volumising mousse which I had decided to stick with so every time my latest tub finished I was working my way round the shops! This time when it ran out I wanted to use a product from Boots to boost my points, so I decided to try a Boots own one- Boots Styling Mousse. It comes in lots of varieties, but I needed the volumising one. It was £1 for 200ml, which seemed like a bargain price to ... Read the complete review

I spend such alot of money on hair care products it's unreal but I do have naughty and uncontrollable hair that demands my full attention! I prefer to style my hair straight simply because it's a bit easier for me however I don't know about other women reading this but I can achieve nice straight hair (with work) but quite often it can appear quite lifeless and limp as my hair is quite fine (regardless of the frizz lol) and alot of products just upset my mop. My hair is a real nightmare (as I've so often complained about in other hair care product reviews I've done on here recently). Dyed far too often jet black it is now just below shoulder length. When hair ... Read the complete review

I love to try out different hair products, so when I was having a wander round Boots a few weeks ago and found they had their essentials hair mousse on offer I though I would give them a try. The mousse was on offer - two bottles for £1.50, but the normal price was £1 a bottle, both prices seemed like an absolute to me and well worth giving a try. The volumising mousse comes in a lime green bottle, with a transparent plastic lid and nozzle. The nozzle really impressed me! It sounds a stupid thing to be impressed by, but it was really sturdy, unlike many 'luxury' hair products where the nozzle snaps off when the bottle is only half used and it's a nightmare to ...
