Advantages: great to darken your hair
Disadvantages: dont lighten your hair very well
I have used quite a few different colour dyes in the boots own permanant dye range.
They are very good value for money at only £3 each and they quite often have them on offer of 2 for £5 which is even better if you have very long hair like mine and need 2 bottles to dye your hair once.
The dye is simple to use, you get a bottle and a tube like with most permenent dyes, you need to squeeze the tube into the bottle then shake to mix. It is very easy to apply to your hair as it is squeezed through a nozel and is quite thick in concistency.
My hair is naturaly a mousy brown which looks horrid and i havent had my hair a natural colour for 15 years now.
The brown and red dyes work brilliantly, giving a lovely rich colour and leave my hair shiny and in good condition but the blond dyes are not as good, they dont dry your hair out like most dyes and dont smell as bad as some i have tried but they dont seem to be as strong, they do lighten my hair slightly but not nearly as well as the box says they will, i tried to go from mousy brown to extra light ash blond, it lightened it slightly but no where near the colour i wanted.
These dyes realy are great if you want to darken your hair colour but are pritty much useless if you want to go lighter.
Summary: a great dye to darken your hair
