Advantages: cheap, nice end result, natural ingredients

Disadvantages: not a lot of colours, didn't include a 'cap' to wear whilst waiting on colour setting .

As any parent knows visiting the hairdresser is an opportunity which little of us is blessed with, and when we do get the chance (or money) it is few and far between.
Because of this I have been colouring my hair at home for years and it so far has been brown, black, blonde and red (yes I know- its a wonder I have any hair left!!)

I have tried many different dyes promising 'great results,' and recently I tried Boots Colours, which I have to say I was pleasently suprised with. It costs just under £4 for a semi-permenant colour, which lasts 24 washes, and as the ingredients are a lot more 'natural' than other dyes, it left my hair in brilliant condition afterwards.
To apply it you simply put on the gloves which are included, attach the dye to the applicator (just twist it on and shake) and you then squeeze it through your hair evenly, before massaging it in once the tube is empty. You then pile it on top of your head and let it set for about 20 minutes. Once you have done this, rinse the dye out of your hair until the water runs clear, and apply the sachet of conditioner you get included. Leave this on for a couple of minutes, rinse and voila! that's you finished. You then just dry and style your hair as normal.

My hair was very shiny afterwards and the colour I achieved was natural looking and close to the colour I desired - any hair dyers out there knows it never turns out the precise colour on the box :)
I would highly recommend this to others, especially those who are dying their hair frequently and worried about the condition of it. I will certainly be using it from now on!!

Summary: It's a lot cheaper than a trip to the hairdresser, with just a bit more work for you :P
