Advantages: Does what it's supposed to leaves my hair feeling good
Disadvantages: Cost, difficult to tell shampoo from conditioner
I have been using Burts Bees Super Shiny conditioner with the Super Shiny Shampoo for several months now. I am fussy about the conditioner I use - the wrong sort makes my hair flat and greasy.
Purchase Price
At a price of £10.99 (through Amazon, including postage) for a 350mL, most people would not describe this product as cheap. It is in the range that I would usually pay for conditioner, though, so although I felt it was on the high side, I didn't think it unreasonably priced.
Packaging
The packaging is fairly straightforward - plastic bottle with the type of lid that you push down on one side to pop the opening up on the other side. I like the choice of packaging - the bottle is rigid enough to hold it's shape but soft enough that you can give it a little squeeze if you need to encourage the product to exit. The bottle is white plastic, but is see-through enough that you can tell whether it contains conditioner or shampoo. The labelling is clear & informative. On the down side, the package & labelling of the conditioner is very similar to the shampoo - I find myself identifying which bottle I want based on the colour of the contents.
Product
The conditioner itself is a light, smooth-textured cream, with a very light scent that's difficult to identify & leaves only a very faint lingering perfume in your hair. The conditioner has a pleasant, light feel - not a heavy or slimey texture. It doesn't clot or stick in the bottle, and spreads easily through the hair... but you do need to check carefully to make sure it's all washed out!
The Result
Great! After using Super Shiny Shampoo & Conditioner I can usually go 3-4 days between washes, unless I've used spray or setting products on my hair in the meantime. My hair dries easily & quickly and ends up with a smooth & shiny 'clean' look. While my hair is naturally fine-textured, it is less 'flyaway' after using this product, and doesn't leave the heavy or greasy feel that some conditioners for fine hair do. I like the fact that it doesn't leave a strong scent in my hair, too.
On the whole - yes, it costs a bit more than many other conditioners, but if you have trouble finding a conditioner that suits you then this one is well worth a try.
Summary: Excellent product if you don't mind the price
