“ Brand: Clairol / Type: Hair Shampoo / Hair type: normal hair „
I picked this up when it was on a buy on get one free offer at my local Tesco store. I got the shampoo and conditioner for £2.19, which I thought was a great bargain. The actual shampoo is in a attractive bottle which was a really nice lilac/blue colour. The shampoo felt gorgeous and left my hair soft, shiny and easy to style. Which is all I ask for really. It smelt gorgeous and didn't aggravate my scalp or anything so it was a great buy. I'd deffinatly recommend it, but I don't stick to one brand of shampoo and conditioner. I would also recommend the seperate conditioner from the same brand, the shampoo teamed with the matching conditioner left my hair feeling so much nicer. I never use 2 in 1's any more. Go out and buy this product, it's great.
I have been using clairol daily defence for about 1 year now, I have had no problems with it at all, I have got my hubby to use it too, after all the problems Ihad with pantene it took me ages to get sorted out with the right shampoo, I do use this is conjuction with the clairol daily defense conditioner too. Me and the hubby have different kinds of hair and we have found a suitalbe one for each of us in hte defence range. These shampoos smell gourgeous, each one if different and all have unique smells, I use the conditioner too for coloured dry hair and have no problems at all, they lather up really well and after rinsing leave your hair feeling very clean and soft. Using this for a year has given me a healthy looking hair, because my hair is long I take good care of it and I don't want to change from this shampoo at all, if you find one that suits you then why not stay with it?, although I would change it if I think it is not doing my hair any good any more, but I am perfectly happy with this shampoo. Used with the clairol defence condtioner leaves my hair silky soft and really easy to brush after washing, very manageble too. Morrisons have been selling them at buy one get one free at the moment, that applies to the shampoos and conditioners so you can mix and match.
I like to change my shampoo about every month and, as this was on offer in Boots for 2 for the price of 1, I thought I would give it a go. Big mistake... I must admit though the packaging is nice and I like the see-through bottles so you know how much you have left. Just wish the conditioner was in a see-through bottle as well! The shampoo itself looks quite promising as it is a clear gel with a slight hint of a purple colour. This suggests to me that it is full of pure ingredients and not stuffed full of artificial colours and perfumes. The shampoo and conditioner both have a very light smell that is really nice. However, I got a bit of a shock when I first used it as this shampoo does not suit my hair at all. My hair is normal as far as I am concerned - not dry, not greasy, not coloured etc so I thought the shampoo for normal hair would be fine. I now have to wash my hair every two days (three at the most if I tie it back!) as it looks horrendous. This shampoo makes my hair look greasy, lank and bascially in need of a good wash! I use the conditioner with it as well and it seems to make no difference what so ever. With my normal shampoo (L'Oreal Elvive which I've also written about!) I can leave my hair for about 4 days without washing it and it looks and smells great. I don't know what it is about this Clairol one but its definately not for me. My hair looks as thought its had all the pollution (and other stuff they use to advertise it) thrown at it and its stayed there! Obviously due to these results I won't be buying this one again and I'll leave the bottle lying in the bathroom for my poor boyfriend to finish off! :)
