I'd had my eye on Clairol's Daily Defense range ages before I got round to buying it, cos well, it claims to "replenish and protect" from the drying effects of everyday environmental and styling stresses. What with me travelling into London's city centre every day, and then partying in the very polluted smoky pubs, gigs and clubs every night (OK I'm exaggerating, more like once a week!), it sounded ideal for a city worker like me. What always put me off was the price though, which at £2.99 per 300ml bottle I thought was a bit steep, considering that most other ranges, including Clairol's other haircare range Herbal Essence, costs ... I like to change my shampoo about every month and, as this was on offer in Boots for 2 for the price of 1, I thought I would give it a go. Big mistake... I must admit though the packaging is nice and I like the see-through bottles so you know how much you have left. Just wish the conditioner was in a see-through bottle as well! The shampoo itself looks quite promising as it is a clear gel with a slight hint of a purple colour. I have been using clairol daily defence for about 1 year now, I have had no problems with it at all, I have got my hubby to use it too, after all the problems Ihad with pantene it took me ages to get sorted out with the right shampoo, I do use this is conjuction with the clairol daily defense conditioner too. Me and the hubby have different kinds of hair and we have found a suitalbe one for each of us in hte defence range. These shampoos smell gourgeous, each one if different and all have unique smells, I use the conditioner too for coloured dry hair and have no problems at all, they lather up really well and after rinsing leave your hair feeling very clean and soft. ... I picked this up when it was on a buy on get one free offer at my local Tesco store. I got the shampoo and conditioner for £2.19, which I thought was a great bargain. The actual shampoo is in a attractive bottle which was a really nice lilac/blue colour. The shampoo felt gorgeous and left my hair soft, shiny and easy to style. Which is all I ask for really. It smelt gorgeous and didn't aggravate my scalp or anything so it was a great buy. I'd deffinatly recommend it, but I don't stick to one brand of shampoo and conditioner. I would also recommend the seperate conditioner from the same brand, the shampoo teamed with the matching ... Read the complete review
