Advantages: easy to use, last forever

I've had my Carmen rollers for, well let's just say a great many, years. And while they were shoved in a cupboard in the late 70s when punk and spikey hair were in, I've used them on and off ever since. Thinking they looked a bit tatty I actually got some new ones - and was pretty surprised, as well as pleased, to see they were exactly the same. I also have a Boots set and, to be honest, they're all much of a muchness - all the rollers are interchangeable, as are the clips. I've never found a better way of styling my hair, whether I just use the big rollers for more bounce or put two sets in for a really curly 'do'. Blowdying doesn't last as long and tongs are fiddly and time-consuming. These you just pop in - in just seconds once you're used to them, and you get on with other stuff. Yes you look naff with them in. And they do feel heavy until you get used to them. But for sheer versatility and value over the years I've never got this much use out of anything.
