Advantages: A pleasant fragrance.

Disadvantages: It doesn't give me lustrous locks as suggested on the packaging.

- Price and Packaging -

This is currently available for £5.49 for a 275ml. However I got this along with the conditioner and the intensive conditioner in a gift set, 3 items for just £15.00 which offered some saving.

This comes in a cylindrical, transparent, plastic bottle. It has a large transparent lid on it. Take the lid off and there is thinner section with a flip down side from which to dispense the shampoo.

- What is it? -

~ Cleans and cares for dry or damaged hair.
~ Smoothes frizz and flyaways.
~ Restores manageability.
~ Will leave your hair vibrant, shiny and silky smooth.
~ Enriched with pearl and silk extracts to add natural moisture to your
hair.

- My Experience -

* Smell and Appearance

This shampoo has quite a strong perfumed scent to it which is fresh and vibrant. The manufacturer's statement that it is 'scented with a unique and sophisticated fragrance' is true in my humble opinion.
The smell lasts for some time on my hair, making it smell clean and refreshed.

When in the bottle it has a lilac colour to it. It is quite a thin shampoo in texture.

* How effective is it?

My hair is a disaster! It is coarse, frizzy and quite frankly, not good!! I am therefore always on the look out for hair products that will help tame my mane so was looking forward to the promises made by this manufacturers.

I washed my hair as usual, applying the great smelling shampoo and hoping for a miracle.

The shampoo creates a good lather which is easily rinsed out but I did notice that my hair wasn't at all, smooth and manageable.

For the purposes of this review I then dried my hair without using a conditioner to see if the promise of ' cares for dry or damaged hair, at the same time smoothing frizz and flyways to restore manageability' was indeed correct......

My verdict was in short...... NO!

My hair was dry, coarse and completely untamed with the awful medusa effect that I get in damp weather!

After the first experience of this without a conditioner, I have since used one to tame my hair. Although It is suggested on the bottle that best results are achieved by combining this with the 'dream hair' conditioner, my grumble is that they are claiming all of these things that the shampoo doesn't actually provide for my locks!

* Overall

In all honesty, this shampoo is a huge disappointment for those of you, like me are looking for a product that tames hair and smoothes frizz.
Yes, it cleans my hair and has a great smell but without the use of a conditioner this shampoo doesn't improve the condition of my hair, despite it's claims.

I will continue to use this on an irregular basis, as I hate waste and it does clean my hair but given the lack of positive results I certainly won't be replenishing it once this bottle is empty.

- Other 'Dream Hair' Products -

I had the same experience. I've stuck to the high street brands such as Pantene and Herbal Essences ever since - waste of money that Charles Worthington!

It's so annoying when you spend all that money and don't like the outcome. I wish more shampoos did trial sizes.
