I straighten my hair almost daily, and have done for many years, with a year or two straightening 2 or 3 times per day, every day of the week - yeah, that wasn't a great phase. I always just shrugged it off when people mentioned heat protection sprays, and if I'm honest, I only ever used them when my hairdresser used them on me once every 6 weeks, but after years of subjecting my hair to extremely high temperatures with blow drying then using my GHD's, I started to noticed some, okay, alot of heat damage. This wasn't great for my appearance and made my hair very weak and rough to the touch, it was finally time to do something about it

After trailing around my local boots grabbing every heat protection spray I could find (can you tell I was a bit desperate to get my soft, silky hair back?), I finally decided on only buying the one - this one was the Charles Worthington Heat Protection Spray. I was quite optimistic about this as I use alot of Charles Worthington products and I'm very pleased with their results. The spray comes in a purple/lilac bottle with a matching lid. Written on the front in white are the words "Charles Worthington London", followed by some silver text saying "Salon Shine Results", below this was some orange text saying "Heat Protection Spray". The bottle looks likes something you would find in a salon, and looks very pretty sitting on my dressing table.

The product promises intense shine with salon results, it contains moisturising rice protein. Hmm, moisturising? Intense shine? Sounds like the perfect product for my awfully damaged hair.

The spray is very simple to use and gives very clear directions on the back of the bottle - not that you really need directions to pump some spray onto your hair. The directions on the bottle say - Wash, dry, style as normal. Spray heat protection spray liberally on each section of hair before using a heated appliance. Avoid contact with eyes. For salon shine, use regularly after your favourite Results shampoo and conditioner. For all hair types.

Personally I spray it on before I blow dry, and comb it through my hair, then spray it onto each layer before straightening.

I've found that this spray has worked wonders on my hair, I've only been using it for about a month, but my hair is not as dry and looks incredibly shiny all the time. I've been getting alot of compliments recently on my 'beautiful', 'so shiny', 'AMAZING' hair, which I've been putting down to the spray as I very rarely got compliments on my hair beforehand, unless it was on the colour or length.

The spray is available in Boots, Superdrug and Asda - I think you can get it in Tesco and Sainsburys too, but I'm not 100% sure, so if you are desperate to buy the product, go to Boots, Superdrug or Asda. It's located in the Charles Worthington section of the hair care aisles and is very easy to find.

I buy the £4.49, 200ml bottle from Boots, but I think it may be a little cheaper in Asda. Obviously this product isn't the cheapest, but under a fiver for beautiful hair that smells great, it's definitely worth the cash.

I will definitely keep using this spray and hope that this review has helped you on your search for a fabulous heat protector.

Thanks for reading.

Summary: my holy grail hair product

This sounds good. I'm currently using Nicky Clarke but it's nearly run out so might give this a go soon!

I could do with some of this. I've gone 'natural' with my hair today and not straightened because I've noticed how damaged it's looking. In desperate need of repair!
