Advantages: Does exactly what it says on the bottle!, Long lasting, Nice fragrance
Disadvantages: Bit on the pricy side, Bit concerned about how the last bit will come out of the bottle given it's unusual shape!
It was the bottle that sold it to me... Having received a few pounds worth of Boots gift vouchers through the post recently I headed off to my local store to treat myself. Maybe it was a strange idea to choose shampoo as a treat, but this was expensive stuff... After browsing the shelves, this little bottle of pink stuff caught my eye. The label reads: Charles Worthington London dream hair heavenly hairwash outrageously rich shampoo for body and shine Dry and Normal Hair "Sounds good to me" I thought to myself, always ready to try a new shampoo! It was priced at £5.95, which in my opinion is a lot of money for a 250ml (8.7 fl.oz) bottle of shampoo, but as I had my vouchers I bought it. The bottle is a peculiar shape for a shampoo bottle, very short and round with a sturdy lid on top (like the picture dooyoo have provided obviously). The shampoo inside has a creamy, pearlescent consistency, and is almost a marshmallowy-baby-pink type colour. It has a sweet, delicately-perfumed, not quite soapy smell. Being the stingy person I am, I didn't use too much when I washed my hair - wanted to see how far ir was going to go. My hair is quite long and thick, but I found I didn't have to use much to work up a good rich lather. I always think you can tell straight away whether a shampoo is going to leave your hair squeaky clean, clean, clean and soft, or soft and a bit lank looking... I'm pleased to report this shampoo falls into the very clean and very soft category. After my hair had dried it had felt very soft and looked healthy and shiny. The fact that although I've now used this shampoo a couple of times, but it hardly looks like I've used any looking at the bottle is quite nice to see - I'm hoping it will last for a good few weeks or so... This is the first time I've used a Charles Worthington shampoo so can't comment on how long
they normally last. This shampoo is part of Charles Worthington's 'dream hair' range. The Charles Worthington website promotes this range as follows: "DREAM HAIR is a totally new, luxurious and science-measured haircare concept that lavishes your hair with the same focused care and attention traditionally reserved for your skin. It is also the first range to offer a complete beauty routine with the sophistication and technological innovation to match the most high-performance skincare regime, delivering seriously amazing and guaranteed benefits. At the heart of each and every product is an elixir of superior ingredients, including Charles Worthington?s powerful ?Damage Deflector? complex, that combine to give strength, boost shine, increase natural moisturiser levels and prevent oxidation caused primarily by unprotected UV exposure. With the DREAM routine, the benefits are instant: hair immediately looks shinier, bouncier and altogether better". - 18/07/02 you can get the CW range as "take aways" ie bottles of i think 75ml which are varying prices but the Dream Hair ones are £2.25, so maybe sth you could have as a once a week treat to perk up your hair... i've got some nd actually they last pretty well. |
