Advantages: nice smell
Disadvantages: doesnt do what it says on the tin!
I bought Charles Worthington Moisture seal hair healer intensive leave-in conditioner in the take away size for £4 for 3 mix and match charles worthington take away products.
I went for this size as it was to take away on holiday and it was a 50ml size that I could get through customs as I was travelling with hand luggage only. The take away sizes are perfect for such occassions.
This particular conditioner is for all dry, permed or colour treated hair, mine being the latter.
The small orange tube has a screw off top, with the full size product it is a flip top which is alot handier when washing/drying/ styling your hair for obvious reasons.
On opening you can smell a faint almond like smell which is pleasant. It is a glue like looking substance not white like most conditioners. Although it is of a thick consistency, it actually rubs away to nothing. There is no stickiness or tackiness left on your hands after application.
This product claims to 'give your hair an instant moisturising treatment. Its strengthening formula targets damaged areas to help leave your hair smooth, shiny, refreshed and protected.'
In my experience, it did feel nice on application, even helping to de-tangle and it smelt lovely but once I started blow drying my hair was as flyaway as usual and the ends still looked dry once Id finished despite me concentrating on covering the ends.
Directions for use are 'Use this highly concentrated conditioner sparingly. After shampooing, blot excess water, run conditioner through hair with fingers or comb. Do not rinse out. Style as usual'
I have long hair and I used a dollop the size of a 2p ish, rubbed it between my hands and then using my fingers I combed it through my hair.
The results for me were no different than using no product. In fact at the roots my hair felt heavy almost greasy. Perhaps I used too much of the product but if so why were the ends still dry? I used it a second time and avoided the top of my head completey, concentrating from the shoulders down but once dried I really couldnt feel or see a difference. In fact the only way I could tell that Id used the product was the nice smell it left!
Personally I would save your money!
Summary: save your money
