Advantages: thickens hair
Disadvantages: definately only for those losing it on top, the elvis effect
Circ Shampoo A shampoo aimed at a particular market , namely the balding self conscious male , yip it?s a 'Hair Loss Thickening Shampoo' . Although the web site ( see later ) did say women can use it too . Apparently , 'it contains polymer supplements that load the hair'. Whatever these are -? So one with a mop on top , how did I come across this ? Well while surfing the WWW , a banner popped up shouting Free Sample ( it did not mention it?s market type ) , so I thought why not , and applied , after all there was no catch involved . A few weeks later the postie delivered a 50ml sample bottle , by then long forgotten about . The sample bottle is a cool blue colour with silver logo and cap . The description for its use states ' gives thickness , fullness and control to thinning hair' . Now this is one thing I definitely don't need , but for the sake of an op and curiosity I'll give it a go . Initial thoughts . You can see why it'll give thickness to hair - it's consistency reminds me of wood glue , but it has the aroma of a woodland forest . Quite pleasing actually . Usage : The usual guide lines of wet hair apply and rinse , repeating if necessary are given . the bottle also states ' To get the full benefit of circ shampoo you may need to adjust your conditioner and styling product range ' . This says two things to me , either : 1) Normal products interfere with this product as would a pin to a blown up balloon. or 2) The manufacturers ( Proctor and Gamble ) , are trying to promote other products in this range . Recommendations : Well , firstly they recommend using circ on its own . So I do , for two washes . My hair feels a little rough , but is clean . As for thickening , well my daughter came in through the door , and the first thing she said was ' what's happened ELVIS ''. Yep it re
ally does thicken your hair - aahhhh. For future uses they recommend adding conditioner / styling products as needed . Well I for one felt I needed a conditioner , which did help , and in all honesty not reduce the thickening effect - by now my hair looks like it needs an Afro styling added to it , or is it that my head has doubled in size . Either way , ELVIS is definitely alive and kicking now . Ok so that's usage covered - oh how original , underneath these instructions they say 'circ range of products are specifically designed to work with circ shampoo' . So thought #2 was right eh . And these are : Spray on fullness conditioner , styling and cooling gel , and finally a scalp moisturiser. Following from this are Q & A details , ie : 1)freephone number ( 0800 0284177 (UK) 1800 509392 (IRL). ) 2) web address ( www.circmen.com ) . This site however has now been withdrawn , leaving a simple message and giving the above phone details only , which is a pity as from here you could find out all the details summerised above and also request a free sample. and 3) Proctor and Gambles Uk address . Proctor 7 gamble Uk Weybridge Surrey KT13 0XP As for Ingredients , these are to be found on the inside of the bottle label . The usual mix and match of such products can be found , however the use of ammonium xx xx products can easily be seen . Obviously they are a key factor for the thickening effect . Recommend it ? Well yes , but only to those of thinning hair , otherwise you?ll start to look like Elvis and me . As for lasting , it bloody does . It's taken quite a few washes to get back o a more normal mop top me ! Size and price range . These have to be investigated , but will be posted once I have found out these details .
