... was not amazing either, it just smelled of cheap apple soap. This shampoo is pretty strong and I would not really recommend it for damaged dry hair as it does feel like it strips the hair of some of its natural oils, even when you add a conditioner. However for greasy hair, this is great and may even mean you can go another day between washes, bonus! I did find that you need quite a big dollup of shampoo to get a lather, so it doesn't go that far and is a bit pricey. My hair felt very clean and full of life ...more

Premium Review Clairol Herbal Essence Shampoo/Refresher: Wow! (148 words)

I love this shampoo! It smells georgeous as your washing your hair and and leaves your hair smelling nice. It cleans imaculately without drying your hair out at all. My hair is prone to being greasy and fly away. This shampoo prevents my hair going greasy too quicky without making it fluffy and unmanageable. You don't need to use loads of the shampoo to get your hair clean either as I find that about a 10p sized blob is an ample amount to clean my hair (which is about halfway down my back). This means a bottle of herbal essances lasts me longer than most shampoos. I find that it works best when used with the complimentary conditioner. ...  Read the complete review

I tried this shampoo on behalf of my mum, who continuously uses stupid shampoos that are wrong for her hair! This shampoo is great for removing build up of styling products or shampoo build up, which makes hair dull and heavy. I thought that after watching the advert, that I was in for an orgasmic experience, but alas only had a hair wash! The smell was not amazing either, it just smelled of cheap apple soap. Premium Review Clairol Herbal Essence Shampoo/Refresher: Clean Herby Hair (117 words)

Herbal Essence removes dirt, grease and product build up. I don't always need to use a conditioner afer it and it smells great, it does not sting if you get it in your eyes, but does taste bitter ( don't try to have a conversation in the shower) which is useful if you have kiddies who try to eat stuff they shouldn't. It's good for regular daily use and the packaging is clever, designed to look like there are herbs in the bottle, so it looks great on the bathroom shelf. I wouldn't leave it in the kitchen though as it could be mistaken for salad oil after a drunken binge. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Soft shiny clean hair. (185 words)

I started using Clairol Herbal Essences Shampoo and Herbal Essences Intensive Blends conditioner about 1 month ago. So far I like it. I like what it does for my hair. My hair and scalp has been softer and cleaner since I started using this shampoo. My hair’s shine also seems much better. I have curly hair so sometimes frizzies are a problem. It is better than it was but it hasn’t cured the problem. I still have to pull out the conditioner for this one. I have been using Clairol Herbal Essences Intensive Blends conditioner which, by the way, works great. My hair is softer and shiny. I love the smell this conditioner behind in my hair. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Clairol Herbal Essence Shampoo/Refresher: Like having new hair! (192 words)

Clairol's Herbal Essances shampoo leaves your hair feeling refreshed, shiny and revitalised. Apparantly what makes your hair shine is the Botanical Shine complex. This shampoo removes residue from your hair clarifying it. It smells like what can only be described as Jasmine and Rosemary. It's gorgeous scent leaves you hooked on the smell! It works on normal to oily hair. It says on the bottle that it is made from 'natural, organic herbs and Botanicals that come to us in pure mountain spring water.' I have been using this product now for a few months aswell as Fructis (read my review on that to find out what Fructis is like). ...  Read the complete review
