Advantages: Transforms peroxide-damaged hair.

Disadvantages: May produce different results if your hair does not warrant its use.

250ml of magic are in each of these little bottles, just waiting to get to work to repair the damage and torture many of us put our hair through on a daily basis.

Take my hair for instance: It's long (way past my shoulders) so as the older it gets, the dryer and more worse for wear it will be anyway. I bleach it blonde on a regular basis, and the ends seem to suffer even though I'm just doing the roots. On a twice-weekly basis the straightening irons are out sucking the life out of my poor strands, plus vigorous applications of many styling products and finishing cremes on a daily basis gradually add to the ruin of delicate, heat-damaged, colour-damaged hair. By Sunday morning, I used to look terrible!

This is a recurring story with hair all over the country. But now, Clairol have given us the solution to improve the stucture, feel and appearance of our hair in the first week of using this product in conjunction with its protecting conditioner in the same range.

I love my hair being long and blonde, but it was in such a damaged state that I was on the verge of having my locks chopped off shorter and dying it dark brown. It looked "okay" but not as I wanted it. So, as I seriously thought about having it cut, so, as if by fate, I discovered Clairol Herbal Essences (the pink ones) at my mum's house when I went to stay for a weekend. I couldn't believe the immediate results.

Glossy, smooth right through to the ends, and it felt and looked as if I had new hair! Honestly, I would never have given any hair product this much credit, but it really did what it said on the bottle. I had been through countless different brands trying to establish one that I liked, but no amount of "Moisturising, repairing and re-structuring for dry/damaged hair" had actually delivered what it promised.

Finally, I had found the products for me. They smell good (but not as good as they appear to in the TV
ads!). They're priced averagely, maybe a little more expensive than some, but if you buy from Asda, you'll find them probably cheaper than avarage. It renewed my hair to something I had not bargained for. It is actually now back in excellent condition despite the horrors it goes through each week. Daily use effectively corrects previously damaged hair.

Occasionally, when treating this hair type, it is advisable to use a different type of shampoo/conditioner on one day once every few weeks, just to give the formula a break and remind it of what it is supposed to be doing, as you need to really with most shampoos.

For those people who didn't get any benefit from this type of Essences, your hair doesn't need it. Obviously, it is not dry or damaged enough to warrant what it does. But for those whose hair is peroxide-damaged, and you're pondering whether or not to chop it off, give this product a whirl first and you may be pleasantly suprised.
