Advantages: It gets rid of the grime, it smells gorgeous
Disadvantages: n/a, n/a, n/a
I purchased this shampoo because I have hair that is greasy at the roots and dry at the ends. I also have very long hair and it gets greasy at the roots within a couple of days of washing, therefore, I needed a shampoo that was gentle enough to use on a daily basis but which would also improve the greasiness in the long run. I had obviously seen the adverts on television, making out that this was some kind of orgasmic shampoo and it would attract several hunky blokes to your side, all willing to wash that grime right out of your hair. I have to admit that these adverts did entice me to take a look so on our next trip to Asda off down the shampoo aisle I went. I quickly found the one I was after, uncapped the bottle and inhaled deeply. I have to tell you that the fragrance of this shampoo is absolute heaven and it will make you want to wash your hair forever. This shampoo has the essences of natural Rosemary, Jasmine and Orange Flower and it is these that create the heavenly smell I just described. I read the information on the bottle to be sure I was getting the right one and was pleased to read that the clarifying/residue removal shampoo removed oil and build up while enhancing shine by providing gentle cleansing. Knowing that it was exactly what I wanted I put the bottle in my shopping trolley, adding the conditioner to go with it on the way. We quickly finished our shopping; got home and a short while later I disappeared into the bathroom to try out my new shampoo. So here goes, I uncapped the bottle and was greeted by that same heavenly smell. I applied a generous amount to my hair because of the length; however, people with shorter hair do not necessarily need to use a lot because it spreads through the hair very well. Unfortunately, girls, the tribe of blokes does not turn up, but we can all dream, can’t we! I spent a good five minutes or so massaging the shampoo through my hair to make sure I covered everywhere befor
e rinsing it out. While I was rinsing it out I was amazed at the amount of build up that was being washed away. I had washed my hair less than two days earlier and although it was greasy at that stage it wasn’t so bad that I would have expected that kind of an effect. I was very pleased with this result but decided that I would wait until I had washed my hair several times before making my mind up to continue using this shampoo. I got the same result every time and once my hair was dry it looked very sleek, shiny and was easy to manage. There are some occasions where I have been unable to wash my hair every day, or even every two days and in these instances my hair has stayed relatively grease free for up to three or four days. This was another element that I was terribly impressed with as it is embarrassing when you have not had a lot of time to wash your hair and you are walking around looking like someone has tipped a pan-full of chip fat over your head. My only gripe about this shampoo is that it does not treat the ends of my hair, which, again because of the length, are very dry and prone to splitting no matter how frequently I have them trimmed. This is not necessarily going to be a problem for everyone because not everyone will have hair that long, I would just like to warn those who do. By the same score though, I do highly recommend this product because not only does it really get rid of the grease and grime, it also invigorates you with the essences that are used. I always feel very alert and refreshed after using this shampoo which is excellent when you are running around after an 18 months old, as I am. I used this shampoo on a frequent basis for around twelve months and only stopped to try out a similar shampoo from Avon. I would definitely go back to using this one though, as it is rare that you find a shampoo that works as well. Also, the amount of shampoo you use all depends on how badly your hair ne
eds a wash as shampoo does not lather up as much on hair that is fairly dirty. This is because the shampoo is working to remove residue and build up from your hair. If your wash you hair a second time you will notice that the shampoo lathers up a great deal more as it does not need to work as hard.
