Advantages: low cost, silky and soft hair, smell
Disadvantages: not always on offer
Introduction I decided to do this op on Herbal essences shampoo with "botanical shine" because when I used this today for the first time ,I was pleasently surprised at the outcome. I came to buy it when I found it at my local supermarket in a BOGOF (buy one get one free offer). And at £1.99 for two bottles I decided to give it a go. Product This shampoo is designed with fine hair in mind, aiming to give extra body and shine. It is made with natural, organic herbs and botanicals (flowers/plants),this particular bottle is made with marigold flowers, angelica and thyme. Herbal Essences products are made by Clairol which in turn is a division of Proctor and Gamble based in Weybridge,Surrey. It comes in 250 ml bottles, made from clear 25% recycled plastic which in turn are recyclable. The adhesive label on the back of the bottle depicts a marigold which is visable through the golden/orange translucent shampoo. When the bottle is opened ,the first thing that is noticeable is the beautiful smell..A mixture of delicate flora, fruit and cleanliness meets your nostrils..and is delightful. I was also pleased to note that its consistancy is good...not so thick it wont come out of the bottle, but not so thin that it runs straight off your hair. Results This is where I was most pleased. With fresh and clean smelling hair that shined and was full of bounce.I don't think I could actually say that it gave heaps of body, but it did leave my usually lank hair with a fair amount of bounce. I was also pleased to find that I didn't have to apply half a bottle to get this result,in fact I used noticably less than I usually do using similarly priced products. Value At £1.99 for two bottles it was exceptional value, but even at £1.99 for one bottle which is about the going rate for it everywhere, it is definately worth the dosh! There are a great many cinsiderably higher priced shamp
oos out there that are not nearly as effective as this. And if you take into account the more ecologically sound bottle and ingredients...which is often something you pay premium prices for, then it is definately a bit of a bargain. Ingredients Aqua (water) Sodium laureth sulfate Sodium lauryl sulfate Coca midopropyl betaine Cocamide meaparfum Sodium chloride Dmdmhydantoin Methylparaben Polyquarternium 10 Disodium edta Citric acid Angelica archangelica Celendula officinalis Thymus vulgarius Propylene glycol Diazolidinyl urea Propylparabenbenzoic acid Ci 15510 Ci 60730 Ci 17200 Summery; This is a great little number that works well, smells great and is affordable, and yes I will continue to buy it even when my local supermarket stops the offer.
