“ Brand: Clairol / Type: Conditioner / Hair type: normal hair „
This is actually one conditioner I bought myself and it just goes to show that Im a sucker for anything pink as that is the main reason I bought it. I had ran out of my normal Tresemme conditioner at the time and I couldnt afford to spend that much on conditioner so I popped into the 99p Store and picked up a bottle of this but unfortunately I couldnt find the matching shampoo. Im sure everyone who reads my reviews must be getting bored of me raving about how great Herbal Essences are by now but Im afraid in this review Ill be singing their praises again!
This conditioner is designed for normal to dry hair and is said to provide your hair with extra shine while making it more full of volume. I never listen to the claims made by hair care companies as they are often lies and then I feel disappointed when my hair isnt clean for two weeks so I decided to form my own opinion on this one. A 250ml bottle of this cost me only 99p from town so if your in your town keep your eyes peeled for this in places like 9pp Shop and Poundland as you may be able to get a real bargain.
Everyone knows how to use conditioner by now I think so Im not going to write a big paragraph on it but I dont think you need to much of this one and remember to concentrate on the ends of your hair rather than the roots. This is slightly thicker than some conditioners Ive tried but I think that means it lasts you longer as you dont need to use as much at any one time - meaning one bottle will last you quite a while. Making it great value for money. It will last longer as it spreads through your hair so much easier therefore making the bottle last ages.
I think Herbal Essences have actually got their description of the scent spot on here as they say it smell of pink grapefruit and bergamot. It does have a citrus smell but I think it smells more fuity than they let on with the citrus scent fading into the background - although its still quite noticable. Im not a big fan of citrus scents and I loved this one so the fragrance isnt overpwering in the slightest and all the scents mix and work really well together - in my opinion. This is another conditioner that the scent stays on your hair for ages when you wash with it - at least 24 hours if not longer and that is even when it has been dried and styled. The scent is definately noticable for ages as I knew straight away when my mom had used this conditioner the other day - shes been stealing my conditioner now LOL.
This really did do a great job on my hair - it was managable, easy to style and smelt great but best of all this one actually does what it says on the tin! I felt that my hair definately looked more full of volume and had a really nice but subtle shine to it so I was pretty gobsmacked when this actually worked. Ill be continuing to use this in the future if for nothing else then the gorgeous scent! Highly recommended.

I love Clairol Herbal Essences Fruit Fusions Brilliant Shine Conditioner just as much as I love the shampoo (see separate review). I bought 2 400ml bottles for £3 in Asda, and they regularly have this deal on. I don't think anyone could argue with that as being fantastic value for money!
Of course, the price means nothing if the product is rubbish....well this one is far from it!
Imagine the fruitiest, citrussiest, juiciest fragrance ever and you may be getting the idea of how good this smells. It reminds me of a year-round tropical holiday and the dominant grapefruit notes are so refreshing. The scent is slightly more subtle than the shampoo (but I only noticed this when sniffing each bottle to compare and review, I don't think it is something you would normally notice!). It contains pink grapefruit, verbena and bergamot; a delicious blend of fruit and herb extracts.
It is recommended for use on normal hair and it claims to give brilliant shine and leave hair at its most beautiful.
The bottle is a really unusual and striking shade of shimmery pink - about halfway beween salmon and hot pink I'd say. It has the trademark Herbal Essences forest green flip up lid and the Fruit Fusions logo in the middle. Everything about the logo and the wording of the instructions makes it all the more appealing. Images of juicy citrus fruits drenched with water and words such as 'juicy', 'revitalised', 'infused' and 'refreshing' all conjour up mental images of something which will drench your hair in moisture and shine.
And it is not just clever marketing....it actually works!
It says it will 'enrich hair's radiance and vitality'.
My hair certainly looked bouncy, alive and radiant after use.
It will also 'help replenish natural moisture and enhance manageability'.
Another tick from me - hair felt softer and was easier to style.
Finally, it claims to 'leave hair silky and richly moisturised'.
And yes, you've guessed it, it did that too.
My hair was not only smoother, sleeker, shinier and easier to manage after using this conditioner, but it also smelled amazing too.
I have always found in the past that shampoos and conditoners that really dazzle you with their smell tend to be a let-down on the performance side, but Clairol have really bridged the gap and managed to do both.
Up untill recently I have tended to go for exepensive salon brand shampoo's and conditioners but due to current economic circumstances I decided to try a new shampoo and condition and I gave herbal essences fruit fusions range ago and I was not disappointed!
The condition smells lovely although not quite as strong as the shampo, I also found that even with very long hair like that you did not need to use alot. I have been using this with the Fruit fusions shampooo and I was incredibly surpised with the end results as my hair was more soft and shiney than I thought it would be.
Overall the conditoner and the shampoo does what it says it does, the packaging is very attractive, it smells fantastic and the end results are great.
The only slight down side is that it is a little bit more expensive than other brands and I don't know if the results would be quite as good if you did not use the shampoo as well but I do think it is worth ever penny.
While I like Clairol Herbal Essences Shampoos I can't say the same for the conditioners in their range and the Fruit Fusions Brilliant Shine Conditioner left me distinctly unimpressed.
Normally retailing at £1.99 for a 250ml bottle in supermarkets and chemists, the bottle I bought was part of a buy-one-get-one-free deal at the Co-op so, because the get-one-free was one of their shampoos, I only wasted half the recommended price.
I bought the Citrus Scent variety which is fragranced with pink grapefruit, verbena and bergamot; it smells delicious but that's the only benefit.
You are instructed to massage it into wet hair and leave it as long as desired to soak in; I left it in for around two minutes then rinsed it off in the usual way but there was no exceptional shine to my hair once it had dried. The bottle carries the promise of 'brilliant' shine but it doesn't deliver. Instead, my hair felt quite lank by the end of the day I had washed it and by the following morning was definitely in need of another wash. The lovely fragrance did linger, along with the lank greasy feel, but I was so disappointed with it that I haven't used it since and have returned to my old faithful standby of Pantene Ice Shine.
It's such a shame that it doesn't do what it says because I have always been pleased with other Clairol products I have tried. I would not recommend this conditioner and will definitely not be buying it again.
** CLAIROL HERBAL ESSENCES SILK 'N' SHINE CONDITIONER.**
*'Discover the Herbal Essences Silk n' Shine Collection for a post organic glow*
Silk 'n' Shine conditioner is for dry/damaged hair, and it compliments the silk'n' shine shampoo from the same range. It comes in a pink plastic 8 inch container. It has a picture of a pink rose to the front showing that the conditioner contains essence of rosehips. It also contains Jojoba, and vitamin E. This invigorating conditioner will awake the senses with it's rose oil fragrance. It is formulated with 100% pure botanicals, and vitamin E to leave to your hair refreshed and beautiful. It states 'Shine with satisfaction'. The contents is 400 ml, and the shelf life is 12 months. There is also a full list of ingredients to the reverse of the bottle.
The vitamin E and rosehips are infused in mountain spring water. It covers each strand with a coating of johoba oil, to make it silky and supple. Once the conditioner has done it's work your hair will be left silky and shimmering. Once you have shampooed your hair, condition by pouring an amount into the palm of your hand, and smooth through your hair before combing the conditioner through. Leave for three minutes then rinse out, making sure the water runs clear. When shampooing, it works well if you use the matching silk 'n' shine conditioner. 'Herbal Essences contains wheat protein, wheat starch and palm-derived moisturisers which caress every hair strand, making the hair feel and look silky-smooth.
'The hair is not overloaded, leaving its structure intact and allowing you to create this year's sexy, dishevelled look'. I think it may also have the 'yes factor!' ;) Herbal essences do wonderful fragrances to their products, and they are sourced from pure botanicals, vitamins and minerals, such as pumice, green tea, citrus fruits and AHA'S. To the reverse of the bottle they always do a little bit of trivia, entitled 'Herbal Lore', and on this bottle it says 3,000 years ago Egyptian woman massaged their johoba oil as they believed it was pleasing to the senses and soothing to the skin'. :)
**Herbal Essences do 4 sections to their range, and these are:**
Deep Nourishment & Shine Shampoo, for dry, damaged hair.
Herbal Essences Fruit Fusions Citrus Lift, for fine hair.
Herbal Essences Fruit Fusions Brilliant Shine, for normal hair,
Herbal Essences Fruit Fusions Vivacious Colour, for colour treated
