I ama bit dubious when a brand changes its products in any shape, which originally put me off from using the new Herbal Essences and I just carried on using up my supply of the old style Herbal Essences which suited my hair.
However, I decided to take a risk and bought the shampoo and conditioner from Boots on bogof, about £3.40 for a 400ml bottle, which seems a bit pricey but not bad when on offer. It's a mid range brand.
I chose the Hello Hydration range as I often use heated appliances, especially straighteners and I had previously used their dry ends conditioner.
I have to say the new designed bottle is certainly an improvement, it is modern and a lovely aqua blue bottle. The bottle sits upside down and you have to press down the lid to use, which can be stiff when in the shower. It has been well designed. as the bottle sits upside down, it makes the thick conditioner easier to get out.
I washed my hair following the instructions, first applying the matching shampoo, then the conditioner. The smell is quite tropical and coconutty, which I really enjoyed. However after washing my hair, I found it quite difficult to get the comb through, I thought that I maybe had not used enough conditioner, so I tried again the next day. Too no success , I again had difficulty.
I carried on using the shampoo and conditioner together but instead of hydarating my hair has become dryer and I have had to use some intense conditioners to return it to its original state.
I like to look after my hair but I think this product has done more damage than actual good, I definately not impressed. I think that they should have stuck to the old formula but with the new packaging. I really wouldn't recommend this.
