Advantages: smells lovely
Disadvantages: when not on offer its expensive
Herbal Essence - Hello Hydration
I bought this shampoo as it was on offer as it was new out and it was buy one get one free so I thought I didn't have anything to lose really.
**WHAT IS IT**
It is a shampoo, which claims to give you moisture and shine. It is formulated for dry and damaged hair. It will replenish your hair leaving it less dry with more moisture in it. Hopefully it will get your hair nice and clean too!
**PACKAGING**
It comes in a see through frosted blue plastic bottle, which you can see the shampoo inside (it is also blue). The lid is different from typical shampoos and you have to press is down to let the shampoo out by squeezing the bottle. To close you will need to press the other side of the lid.
On the front it has the Herbal Essences logo in white there is a green shiny circle above it which has a design around it. It also gives you brief details about the product in white on the front.
On the back it gives you further details about the shampoo in white. It also gives you a question called 'Herbalhead games' and the answer is on the conditioner. I think this may be to persuade you to buy the conditioner as well.
The bottles itself is durable and is quite funky and young. It is attractive and looks good sitting in your bathroom.
**INGREDIENTS**
water, ammonium lauryl sulfate, ammonium laureth sulfate, sodium chloride, cocoamide mea, glycol distearate, dimethicone, ammonium xylenesulfonate, vanilla planifolia fruit extract, cocos nucifera (coconut) milk, fragrance, cetyl alcohol, polyquaternium-10, sodium citrate, sodium benzoate, disodium edta, peg 7m, citric acid, propylene glycol, methylchloroisothiazolinone, methylisothiazolinone, blue 1.
Orchid extract is said to help repair damaged hair and prevent moisture loss. This will help your hair be healthier and more manageable.
Coconut extract will work as a conditioner and will soften the hair as well as conditioning the scalp (which will help with people who suffer from dandruff).
This may be useful if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
**THE PRODUCT**
The shampoo itself is rather thick in consistency and it is light pearly blue in colour. It smells very fresh and of coconut. It will leave your hair feeling softer and shiner.
HOW TO USE: Wet your hair first then put a blob of the shampoo onto your hand and massage it into your hair. Lather up the shampoo it will create bubbles. Then rinse your hair thoroughly. Repeat if necessary.
**MY EXPERIENCE**
I really like the smell of this shampoo to me it smells like a conditioner. It leaves my hair feeling softer and you feel good after you wash your hair in it. I do feel that it hydrates my hair and leaves it more manageable. It leaves my hair feeling silky.
I find that I only need to wash my hair once in this shampoo and I don't need to use a lot of it as it lathers well and cleans your hair well first time round. This saves time and energy. It isn't hard to wash out and leaves your hair smelling lovely.
Since buying the shampoo I have seen the adverts on television for it which I think are very good an enticing to buy the shampoo. It is a woman on a camel and then she goes to find somewhere to get hydrated.
This shampoo cost me roughly around £3 on offer where I bought one got one free. So it worked out at £1.50 for a bottle. I think this was good value for money usually I think it is more expensive. So really it would be something I would only buy for a treat if it weren't on offer. If you do have dry hair I would recommend it has helped my hair with the conditioning process.
Summary: worth a try

- 18/09/09 This was no good at all on my hair. I preferred the 'old' Herbal Essences range :) |
