Advantages: Everything
Disadvantages: can leave a greasy patch on your hair if you don' wash it off properly
Herbal Essences Rainforest Flowers Conditioner for Normal Hair is fantastic. I use the conditioner after I have washed my hair using the matching shampoo to detangle and tame my long hair. The conditioner is sold in a lilac coloured plastic bottle which is a little bit darker than the colour of the shampoo.
The conditioner has a very thick consistency and sometimes it is difficult to get out of the bottle. I usually just tip the bottle upside down and give it a vigorous shake to dispense the conditioner. Getting the conditioner out of the bottle is a bit like getting tomato ketchup from the bottle and needs a little force.
Once you have got some conditioner out of the bottle you will notice that it is a creamy lilac colour which has a slightly pearlescent appearance to it. The conditioner feels very creamy and silky smooth to the touch and doesn't have a sticky greasy feel to it.
The conditioner has extracts Passion Flower, Patchouli and Vetiver which leave your hair feeling soft, shiny and smelling gorgeous. The conditioner doesn't smell overly floral because of the strong passion flower extract; it has a very refreshing and fruity undertone to it which breaks down the scent of the passion flower giving it a much lighter and refreshing scent.
After I have shampooed my hair with the Rainforest Flowers Shampoo I use a fairly large blob of the conditioner on my hair, and I cover my hair from roots to tips. Once I have applied the conditioner to my hair I can run my fingers through it very easily and this also helps to evenly distribute the conditioner. You can either wash the conditioner off straight away, or leave it in your hair for 3 minutes then wash it off; either way you still get the same results.
When I am washing the conditioner off my hair I have to be quite careful because the conditioner is very thick and sometimes I miss a bit which results in me having a greasy patch of hair. I take twice as long rinsing the conditioner off so as I am sure not to miss any parts.
As soon as I have rinsed all traces of the conditioner from my hair, my hair feels very silky smooth and soft and I can run a brush through it effortlessly without coming across any tangles. My hair is also left with a gorgeous long-lasting fruity passionflower scent which can be smelled throughout the whole day.
Once I dry may hair, either using a hairdryer or letting it dry naturally, it has a very smooth, sleek and shiny appearance. My hair feels very soft, and the conditioner doesn't make it too soft so as my hair is frizzy or untameable.
I highly recommend using this conditioner and the matching shampoo because it will leave your hair feeling soft, smooth, manageable, shiny and smelling fantastic.
Herbal Essences rainforest Flowers Conditioner for Normal Hair is available in a 200ml and 400ml bottle. A 200ml bottle costs £1.99 and a 400ml bottle costs £3.89 available from most supermarkets and chemists. I find that I use twice as much conditioner than I do shampoo, so I usually buy a 200ml bottle of shampoo and a 400ml bottle of conditioner.
