Advantages: A little goes a long way, smells nice, not expensive
Disadvantages: none!
I love Herbal Essences shampoo, and I can go and use other shampoos but I always seem to go back to Herbal Essences since it is one of my favourites.
My favourite shampoo from Herbal Essences, and the one I usually buy, is the Silk'n'Shine shampoo which has rose hips, vitamin E and jojoba in it. The shampoo is for dry and damaged hair and unfortunately due to dying my hair and using hair straighteners, my poor hair needs a little TLC!
The shampoo comes in two different sizes: 250ml and 400ml.
The bottle is a nice squashed oval shape so that your hand fits around it nicely and it is easy to squeeze the shampoo out. The bottle is made from clear, see-through, soft plastic. You can see through the bottle, and printed on the inside of the backside of the bottle is a picture of some rose hips, I quite like the design of the bottle and like that you can see a picture on the other side. The lid is made of green plastic and is a flip top lid which flips open to reveal a small hole which the shampoo comes out of. If you don't like flip tops then you can just screw the lid off instead.
The shampoo is a clear, light pink colour which is quite a thick consistency. I do like the smell of the shampoo, it is a nice subtle smell and not too overpowering. It smells quite sweet, flowery and clean.
One of the things I like most about this shampoo is a little goes a long way. I have shoulder length hair, and I can use the smallest amount of shampoo and it will create a lot of bubbles, which makes it seem like I am giving my hair a really good clean. The shampoo rinses out easily and doesn't leave any residue or oiliness in my hair. When I dry my hair I find that it is quite nice and fluffy, but shiny and manageable at the same time. When I buy Herbal Essences I will use it most days, and I find that it gives the same result every time which I am really impressed with.
The shampoo is to be used within 12 months of being opened, and I have never found it to be a problem using it within this time period.
There is a matching conditioner to go with the shampoo, though I personally usually just use the shampoo by itself.
There are usually offers on for Herbal Essences so you can usually find a good deal! Even when it is not on offer I find it to be a very reasonable £2.95 for 400ml and £1.99 for 250ml. I highly recommend it!
Summary: A great shampoo which doesn't cost much
