Advantages: Fresh, clean, healthy looking hair that's full of body
Disadvantages: none
I bought this shampoo along with the matching conditioner because it was on a buy one get one free offer in Morrisons. It costs around £2.20 for a 250ml bottle, or around £3.20 for a 400ml bottle.
According to the blurb this shampoo has a lightweight formula containing white nectarine and pink coral flower extracts, to boost body in fine or normal hair, for hair that defies gravity. It also suggests using the matching conditioner to help maintain the voluptuous volume (of course).
It comes in a tall transparent bottle so you can see easily how much you have left, and has a press top lid. The lid can be quite difficult to open the first few times as it is quite stiff at first, but it soon loosens up and gets so it's easy to open even with wet hands in the shower.
The shampoo itself is a fairly runny consistency which lathers up amazingly well, meaning you can use very little at a time and still get a really rich, thick luxurious lather that feels great. The scent of this shampoo, as with all Herbal Essences shampoos I've tried, is gorgeous. It smells really fresh and fruity, and the scent gets more intense as you lather it up.
The shampoo feels really fresh on the hair and scalp as I massage it through my hair, and it really feels as though it's doing a thorough job of cleaning my hair. It rinses out easily and leaves my hair feeling clean, smooth and fresh.
Once my hair is dried it feels soft, smooth and silky, and looks shiny, healthy and full of body and bounce. It dries tangle-free and is easy to comb through, and it feels and looks smooth and frizz free. I usually find that shampoos that are described as volumising leave my hair feeling too fluffy or really static, but this one doesn't, instead it feels soft and full of body, but completely static-free. The scent lingers subtley on my hair all day after using it, which pleases my fiancé no end!
Overall I'm very pleased with this shampoo. It lives up to it's claims, making hair look full of body and life, shiny and healthy, feeling clean and fresh, and smelling fantastic. What more could you ask for?
Summary: A great smelling shampoo that lives up to its claims
