A nice product I would recommend

The Clairol Herbal Essences Vibrant Colour Shampoo is just one of the many varieties of of shampoos from the Herbal Essences range, which I have used many times over the last year or so. I was lucky enough to pick up many of the Herbal Essence varieties in both shampoo and conditioner, when they were reduced to between 87p to 37p during a re-style of the products look by the manufacturer. Obviously the bargain prices were a real bonus, but do not reflect the usual RRP for the products, as they do cost some what more than that normally. I have been mixing and matching them with a combo of different conditioners and shampoos, to see how they worked with each other over the last year, so feel I do know many of the products within the range really well. ********************************************************** I have just finished using a bottle of H E Vibrant Colour Shampoo, so with my thoughts about the product fresh in my mind its time to review the product here. The bottles I picked up were the smaller 200ml size, although the product was also available in a larger 400ml bottle. The bottle itself is a clear plastic one, with a clear plastic sticker on the front that has a picture of the Celandine flower on it. There are also a series of Celandine flowers that you can see, through the light amber coloured shampoo. These are printed onto the information sticker thats on the back of the bottle. A simple to use flip top, deep green lid, completes the understated look of the product. ********************************************************** I have found that using the shampoo has always made my hair nice and shiny and glossy. It has a very nice light fruity floral aroma to it which reminds me a little of fresh green apple mixed with fresh flowers. Its not too sweet and has a slight tangy freshness to it that you can still notice on your hair after rinsing and drying it. The shampoo is not to thin or thick in consistency and is a clear light amber colour. I have found that I have only needed a small amount of the product to wash and clean my hair, but do like to wash with a small amount of the shampoo, rinse then wash again before applying a conditioner. ********************************************************** The shampoo creates a nice smelling soft and bubbly lather and you only need a small amount on wet hair to get those bubbles working hard to clean your hair. Although the product is meant for coloured hair, other family members have used the shampoo with equally good results and had no problems with it at all. I can't say it really extends the vibrancy and colour more then other shampoos I have tried, but it did make my hair feel soft and clean. I can say that I do really like it and would recommend it as a good product. ********************************************************** The shampoo has a mixture of flower extracts including Celandine, Water Lily and Peony, although as I say I can sniff out a hint of fresh green apple there too. Herbal Essence Shampoos are made with 100% botanicals set in mountain spring water. I am uncertain as to the full benefits this mix offers, but the bottle has some text that says the formula has been created to 'nourish your hair from root to tip' and 'protect the vitality of coloured hair'. I have enjoyed using the product and its left my hair clean and fresh with no greasy over tones. Over all I would say that the Herbal Essences Vibrant Colour Shampoo is worthy of a 4 star rating.

      Sweet smelling shampoo

As I have coloured hair, I always have to make sure I use the right shampoo to stop the colour fading. Something I am always on the look out is for a better colour shampoo than the thousands of ones I have already tried and tested. I had always been a fan of Clairol Herbal Essences shampoos before I had coloured hair as I just absolutely loved the smell of them and they worked pretty well too. With their track record, I thought Id try their colour shampoo to see if they were any better than other colour shampoos. The shampoo comes in a clear 355ml bottle with the Herbal Essences logo on the front and in the background, some pretty flowers. The lid is one that can be taken off which is handy when you are near the end of the bottle and are trying to get all the contents out. When you open the lid of the bottle, you immediately get the refreshing and gorgeous smell of celadine, waterlily and peony all mixed together. The flowery mixture really is something I really rate about their products. Using this product is easy, apply to damp or wet hair and massage. This shampoo lathers really well and along with the smell, it makes washing your hair truly luxurious. Rinsing this off is just as easy! After using this product a couple of times, I didnt really notice a difference with other colour shampoos and my hair colour was still fading more than I wanted. However, the condition of my hair was left soft and smelling absolutely gorgeous. This is an absolutely amazing shampoo for those who dont ned special treatment, but doesnt do amazingly for my coloured hair. As this is a colour shampoo, im afraid I can only give it 3/5. If I was reviewing the normal shampoo, for sure it would be getting 5/5. A great smelling product that leaves your hair fresh and gorgeous, just a shame that it doesnt lock in the colour.

A nice smelling shampoo that leaves hair clean and soft

I am always keen to try out different products and when I saw this shampoo recently on a buy one get one free offer I couldn't resist. The shampoo is Herbal Essences Vibrant Colour Shampoo and retails around £3 for a 400ml bottle. So two for the price of one worked out quite well. Herbal Essences shampoos are currently redesigning their shampoo and this shampoo is as they describe going to be "blossoming" into the new Ignite My Colour Shampoo. However as this shampoo is still available in some shops I will review it here. The shampoo is designed for coloured and highlighted hair and contains extracts of celandine, water lily and peony. The shampoo is designed to - Nourish you hair from root to tip - Help protect the vitality of your coloured or highlighted hair - Leave your hair silky and full of shine The shampoo comes in a clear plastic bottle with a flip top cap at the top. The shampoo is a clear orange colour and is of moderate consistency, not to thin but not very thick either. The scent is a lovely fresh floral fragrance, it's a really nice smell but is definitely a girly smell. Instructions are simply to massage into your wet hair until you get a good lather, enjoy the revitalising fragrance and then rinse. They also recommend that you use it conjunction with the Herbal Essences Vibrant Colour Conditioner, however I haven't tried any of their conditioners. So what do I think of it. Well it's a really nice shampoo. It foams up well in your hair and you get lots of bubbles which always makes me feel like my hair is getting really clean although I know it's actually more to do with the ingredients they put in to give you that foam. It smells lovely whilst you are washing your hair although I can't say I notice the smell once my hair is dry. My hair feels clean and soft and shiny. I do get my hair highlighted so this shampoo says it should protect the vitality of my highlighted hair. Does it do this? Well to be honest I can't say there is a huge difference between this shampoo and any of my other shampoos. I find my hair is usually fairly shiny and the colour tends to last so I don't think it's really any better than any other good quality shampoo. Would I buy it again? Yes because I like the smell, its fairly good value for money (especially on the 2 for 1 offer) and it leaves my hair soft and shiny. It may not make my colour last any longer but it certainly doesn't make it dull or lifeless either.

        Leaves hair feeling wonderful

Clairol herbal essence shampoo I first tried clairol herbal essence shampoo for coloured/highlighted hair about 18 months ago. This was at a time when I felt my usual shampoo was not doing what it should be doing for my hair. I have been using it ever since. It comes in 250ml and 400ml plastic bottles which can be recycled. It costs around £2.99 for the 400ml size. This shampoo contains celandine, water lily and peony extracts and has a lovely fragrance. It is pale orange in colour with a green easy squeeze lid. It looks great on the bathroom shelf. I find that it helps to protect the vitality of my coloured hair. It leaves my hair feeling very silky and shiny. I have ben asked on several occasions which hair shampoo I use and I am always happy to pass on the herbal essence name. It is even better if used in conjuction with herbal essence vibrant colour conditioner.
