Disadvantages: None for me
Herbal Essences Vibrant Colour Shampoo
I have been using this shampoo now for a few weeks after picking it up in my bathroom, when my usual shampoo had run out.
The bottles come in either; 250ml or 400ml plastic bottles which can be recycled. I use the 400ml size, which cost about £3 to buy.
The clear plastic bottle is rather plain, with just the product name and the circular logo with a flower, found on the majority of herbal essences products. All details on how to use, ingredients, helpline numbers and size are clearly displayed on the back.
As well as stating on the front that it is the "vibrant colour" shampoo and is for highlighted/coloured hair.
The shampoo itself is a honey colour and has a similar consistency, although slightly runnier.
This shampoo contains celandine, water lily and peony extracts and has a lovely fragrance. I can't quite describe the smell, although it isn't too floral or strong and is no way as "shampooey" smelling as brands such as "Head and Shoulders"
My opinion
-------------
I love this shampoo. The bottle is easy to squeeze to get the shampoo out, and I love the fact the bottle is clear, it makes it so much simpler to notice when you are running low and get more before you run out completely. The lid is also very flat, so when it is running low, you can stand it on its lid to make sure you get every last drop.
It lathers brilliantly, which is something I like. A lot of thicker shampoos I have tried, although leaving my hair clean after, did not lather quite as well, which just doesn't give me a totally clean satisfied feeling. With Herbal Essences, you know its working and it feels great. A lot like the adverts with all the screaming girls enjoying the shampoo a little too much, it nice to really feel you're getting a good clean with lots of lather, very satisfying!
My hair is highlighted, and I have it coloured probably every 6-8 weeks, I also have a slice of pink semi permanent colouring through my hair, which is also topped up every time. Since having my hair coloured, it has been slightly drier as I expected, but this shampoo adds a lot back. Not to mention the conditioner, this deserves its own review too! The shampoo also helps with the colour. Towards the end of my 6-8 weeks, usually with my old shampoo my blonde would get quite dull. This shampoo perks it right up quite noticeably after a wash. So my hair looks in better condition, feels better and looks generally healthier and my blonde fresh and bright.
It's definitely worth a 5 star rating. It ticks all boxes for me and is a shampoo I will be happy to continue using. Especially as it hasn't affected anything in a bad way, some shampoos make my hair feel great after a wash, but can dry it out when blow-drying or straitening. This doesn't. It's just smooth and soft and clean, with a nice clean smell. I really like this shampoo and look forward to trying other fragrances in the range.
Thanks for reading :)
Summary: A good shampoo indeed!
