      Fab product

After using expensive shampoos and conditioners (Tigi, Joico, Redken etc)for some years and finding that you do really get what you pay for I was pleased to discover this product, as it does the job of pricey conditioners but works out much cheaper!

Now it has to be said that I think it very much depends on the colour and type of you hair as to whether this product will be right for you. For instance my frined has quite fine hair and she finds it too heavy for her hair, leaving it a bit greasy and I have used it before, years ago when I used to dye my hair blonde and I didn't find it so great then. however, I now dye my hair bright red and as my hair is very coarse and thick and not prone to greasiness I find this fantastic!

Each little tube costs only £1, I buy it from my local shop but I have also seen it in Boots and I'm sure it can be found in many other places. Each tube lasts me 2- 3 washes, which considering I have very long and thick hair is really good.

You really don't need to use a huge amount per application and it also doesn't need to be left on for very long, maybe just a minute or so. It is also probably best to avoid your roots to avoid any greasiness (as is the case with any conditioner really).

I find this leaves my hair really shiny and soft (without being too flyaway) and that morst importantly it is fantastic for making my colour last that little bit longer.

If you don't use too much or leave it on too long it will leave your hair beautifully conditioned, shiny & not lank or fluffy!

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

A great smelling, feeling, and priced conditioner....

With having bright red hair, it is a bit of nightmare keeping it red between hair appointments so since July I've been on the hunt for a good conditioner - which is easier said than done, since apparently we all want to be blond or brunette in my town and no colour in between. There are generic colour protect shampoos, but they just aren't quite good enough for my hair, even though the one I tried was meant to be a top of the range, James Brown conditioner if you are interested it just made my hair greasy, and didn't really keep my colour any longer.

      ~*~ Nice and Easy ~*~

This conditioner comes normally in the boxes of hair dye that you can buy, this is where I initially found this conditioner when I was younger so I've been through various bottles of blond, and brown conditioner. I thought it would be lovely to have it separately, so when I remembered that they do sell it, I whipped down to Boots to buy a red one. Which will be in the redder hair dye boxes anyway, but you won't know because as far as I'm aware they come in sachets in your dye boxes but tubes in the shop.
~*~ Keeping my Red, Red! ~*~

So I already had high hopes for this conditioner as it was - so when I applied it to my hair and left it for a little while to work in, as it does suggest to let it settle into the hair after washing and applying root to tip. I was leant over the bath admiring how bright my hair looked, and that the drips off it were slowly dying my bath red, yes my hair is that red. Hoping that when I washed it off my hair was still lovely and bright, after using the conditioner for a good few washes; knowing what my hair is like for fading drastically after the first three or four washes.

So the conditioner, is not as thick as I have previously used actually it's a tiny bit watery, but to be honest it means you get a bit more in the tube, compared to the bottles of the more expensive conditioner you can buy. It isn't any less effective at covering the length of your hair, and mines quite long now so I was expecting to be getting through tubes of this stuff. When it's on your hair I personally not make a point of rubbing it in and making it a little bit foamy, because on good authority from my hairdresser doing that makes hair follicles stand up and it's easier to lose colour that way so I smooth it down the hair and leave it.

This conditioner smells amazing at the same time as doing wonders on your hair, especially when it's heated up by warm water and after application and washing out it will stick around for a couple of days before you wash it again. Purely washing the conditioner off your hair you will see what kind of affect it's had - just running your fingers through your hair as it washes out it shows my hair to be incredibly soft - very silky smooth compared to my old conditioner. It also washes out really easily which is a huge bonus, because I can't be bothered using all my water and time to wash out a conditioner that's not going to work.

Blow drying my hair I find that my hair stays very soft despite being blown about but it isn't static without even using any serum to make it that way. The entire time between washes my hair stays, soft and smells lovely, and after I started using it, I did notice that the amount of split ends I was getting did decrease, so if you are prone to them - this might help a little bit. I can safely say that after 2 weeks of using this conditioner that my hair does look as red as it did just after I got my hair dyed, there is a tiny bit of fading but compared to normal it is a tiny amount and barely anyone noticed! My only complaint with this conditioner is that it says it only lasts for three washes but depending on how long your hair is you might be able to get away with maybe four or five, but trial and error is how you will know, on my hair I can get 3 uses and it is quite long.

      ~*~ Price and Availability ~*~

I've only ever seen this conditioner available in Boots in my town but it may well be available in other stores in different towns. The price varies every time I buy it from 99p to £1.04, either way it's not that expensive, since you can spend £7 or £8 a month on conditioner if you wash your hair a lot on the more expensive conditioners.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

A good deep conditioner that will really help your hair!

As anyone who reads my reviews will know, i don't really use conditioner. But when i dye my hair, it's just common sense to use it! I first came across this product around two years ago when i bought the lightest blonde that nice n easy did, and this came free with it for after care. The bottle gives you enough to maintain your hair and also keep it in good condition after it has been dyed. Like most conditioners the instructions are quite simple, simply put it on for about 1 minute and then rinse out. As those who dye their hair will know, hair can feel dry when it's first been dyed, even when it's still wet (if that makes sense!) but this makes such a difference to the hair! My hair actually felt in better condition than it did before i dyed it, which is good going considering i'd only just bleached it.

Depending on which colour specific conditioner of this range you buy, but the blondes one is pale yellow and smells sort of like coconut. It comes in a golden/yellow tube and contains enough to last you a good 2 weeks as you really don't need alot.

Sadly nice n easy stopped making the hair colour i used (well, they discontinued in in stores but it can be bought on the internet but £15 for the product and delivery is ridiculous!) so i thought i wouldn't be able to get this conditioner anymore, but it is in fact sold in the individual tubes in boots for around £1.30 each, and more often than not they do deals and offers containing the conditioner so you can stock up on them for a long while.

My only issue with this product is that it'd be good if they sold it in big bottles rather than separately packaged tubes, as it would probably reduce the price abit and make it abit more convenient to pick up etc etc, but other than that i love this conditioner and will continue to use and i would really advise you to aswell!

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          A lovely conditioner

I recently dyed my hair dark brown with Clairol's Nice n' Easy hair dye, when I bought the kit it came with a tube of Colourseal Gloss conditioner, there was enough for 2 washes. After I had run out of the Colourseal conditioner I went back to using my usual conditioner but found that it made my hair quite greasy. I loved the feel of my hair after using the Colourseal conditioner so was very pleased when I found that my local Tesco sold the same conditioner.

          Appearance

The conditioner comes in a shiny brown foil tube with a white plastic lid which easily screws on and off. The tube has a silver strip across the top of it and just below this is the work Clairol written in silver writing. At the bottom of the tube are the words Nice n' Easy again written in silver letters. In the centre of the tube is a bit about the conditioner including the name of it "Colourseal Gloss for beautiful brunettes, intense conditioner for coloured hair" again as with the rest of the writing on the front of the tube this is also written in silver writing. On the back of the tube is various information including directions for use and the ingredients, this is all written in small white lettering which is a little tricky to read although not impossible. This tube of conditioner is designed to last 3 weeks, only using this conditioner for one wash a week, there is a scale on the back of the tube which indicates how much to use for each wash.

The conditioner itself looks basically the same as most conditioners, it is of a reasonably thick consistency and white in colour, it has quite a sweet fragrance, I'm not sure exactly what the fragrance us supposed to be but it reminds me of coconut and vanilla, but that is just my opinion of its fragrance. It is not too strong or overpowering but the fragrance does last giving your hair a lovely fresh smell, it does not fade after just a few hours as with a lot of conditioners.

          Directions For Use

This conditioner is designed to be used once a week, the amount needed is indicated on the back of the tube, squeeze out the amount shown and apply to damp hair and leave for about 2 minutes. After 2 minutes rinse the conditioner from your hair using warm water, and then dry and style as usual.

This conditioner is an intensive conditioner and is designed to keep your hair colour vibrant between colourings. After I used this conditioner not only did my hair smell lovely it felt extremely soft and look shiny and healthy enhancing the colour. As I straighten my hair everyday this conditioner will help to keep my hair in better condition leaving it looking less damaged. The Clairol Nice n' Easy Colourseal Conditioner is designed to be used if you have coloured your hair with Nice n' Easy hair dye, the one I have is for brunettes however they also do one for blonde hair aswell as red hair so there is a Colourseal conditioner for everyone, it is recommended you use the correct one for you hair colour inorder to see the real benefits of it.

The only criticism I have with this conditioner is that personally I find that the conditioner only lasts for 2 washes rather than 3 as stated on the bottle, I find that if I only use the amount indicated on the tube it is no where near enough to thoroughly condition my hair. I find that half of the tube rather than a third is just the right amount to leave my hair in excellent condition. However my hair is long and thick, for someone with shorter thinner hair a third of the bottle would probably be the right amount. However this is not something that would stop me from using the conditioner on a regular basis.

          Price

As previously mentioned I bought my Clairol Colourseal Conditioner from Tesco, it cost £1.20 for a 30ml tube, this sounds like you do not get much for your money, however one tube will last 2 to 3 weeks so it does work out quite economical. Personally I feel this conditioner is worth the money just for the excellent condition it leaves my hair in.

Overall I would definitely recommend this conditioner especially if you have dyed your hair with Nice n' Easy hair dye (I'm not sure if it can be used on un-dyed hair) it really does what it says it will and keeps your colour looking vibrant, healthy and generally in good condition. I will definitely continue to use Clairol Colourseal intensive conditioner whilst I have my hair dye and would recommend it to anyone.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

Ideal as a deep conditioning treatment

Although this product is made for keeping colour treated hair in tip top shape and colour ,I don't colour my hair but use it as an alternative weekly deep conditioning treatment.

I bought it from superdrug a few months ago because my regular conditioner was out of stock so I opted for something good value- nothing I was intending on holding onto, just a quick fix.

The conditioning cream, which I prefer to call it due to its texture was very thick, not in the slightest runny or messy. It has a lovely fragrance, which last for days after usage.

After applying I left it on for two minutes or so and rinsed out, leaving my hair to dry naturally. The results were fantastic. My hair was left very soft and glossy.,and the ash brown shades in my hair looked richer. The only down side is that because the conditioner is very thick I wouldn't use this daily. As previously mentioned its ideal as a once or twice a week treatment, otherwise it makes the hair appear greasy and wears it down.

A good value treatment-probably works wonders for colour treated hair, but even without hair colouring this is still a great conditioner.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

Damaged hair? Not for long ... !

I have been colouring my hair for a couple of years now, usually getting it done once a month to keep its nice rich and vibrant colour. As well as this, I wash and style my hair every day using hair straighteners and a hair dryer sometimes twice a day so you can imagine how dry and dull my hair can get! However, after trying this conditioner I noticed a huge different. My hair felt silky smooth and extremely soft and it had a lovely, bouncy shine to it! Fantastic!

The conditioner works by intensively moisturising each hair strand and also helps boost protection where hair may have been burnt or damaged by hair straighteners, sun or blow driers etc. The conditioner also has a film which lies across the hair cuticle leaving it smoother and looking shinier.

I don't use the conditioner everyday as I find my hair is then TOO soft and it can be extremely difficult to style when it is like this. So every couple of days I will use the conditioner and then go back to using a different one in between. I find I only need to use a small amount as it goes along way and using to much of any kind of conditioner can leave your hair looking greasy. I find my hair immediately feels and looks great after massaging the conditioner in to my hair and then rinsing it out again.

The conditioner doesn't have a strong smell but a very fresh, subtle scent. The conditioner is designed for those that colour their hair and aims to seal the colour in your hair for a longer, lasting colour. To be honest, I haven't noticed a big different in the colour in my hair since using this but it has definitely improved its condition.

When purchasing a hair dye kit by Clairol, you receive a sample of the condition which lasts up to three washes. I would recommend you only use this once or twice a week.
