Clairol Nice'n easy

It's summer again and now the hot weather is here it's time to get your glad rags on and go blonde.
I always like to lighten my hair in the summer as it's a nice colour and in the winter I go for the warm brown hair colour. Not only does it change the way you look but it can help the way you feel.
Clairol nice'n easy can be bought from most chemists, supermarkets and beauty product shops.
The prices range from between four and six pounds depending on where you buy it from.
I always go into town to buy my beauty products as there is a Savers shop there and I paid £3.79 for my pack of nice'n easy Natural Light Ash Blonde.

This is a permanent hair colour which covers grey and lightens your natural colour hair.
It comes in a cardboard box with a picture of a woman with the colour of hair you have chosen to become. Having said that I always think it is best to do a stand test before actually going the whole hog and putting it on all of your hair, unless you have used it before and know the colour that it will turn out.
The darker your hair colour the less chance you have of getting the same colour on the box and many people have found that if their hair colour is a dark brown of black, then this could end up a disastrous orange or bright ginger colour. If you do have dark hair then it's always best to lighten it first with something like hi-lights, which can be found in the chemists and supermarkets too.
If you have light hair already then this colour will turn out good, it also covers grey hair too for the older woman who wants to use it.

Inside your box of hair colour you will find :- One bottle of colour formula with built in multi tones. One bottle of colour activating crème. One tube of instant shine conditioner and One pair of expert colourist gloves.
To use this product is very easy, but do remember that it does contain ammonium and other strong chemicals so you have to used this in a well ventilated room or you'll end up with a headache. It can also be very severe if you have an allergic reaction, this can be anything from a burning sensation of the scalp to sores appearing on the scalp, so do remember to do a strand test first.
Not only for the end colour result but to see if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
Also remember, to dispose of this as soon as you have finished using it as it can be harmful to children and always keep this out of their reach.

Once you have done your strand test and are happy with the results, you can then mix up the ingredients to use.
First find an old towel to wrap around your shoulders, as if it spills on your clothes it will bleach them and they will be ruined. Secondly put on the rubber gloves enclosed, as this will protect your hands and any jewellery you are wearing from getting damaged or hurt.

Take the colour formula and pour it into the bottle of colour activating crème shake the bottle until it is mixed thoroughly and take the top off, which just pulls upwards. You can then begin to apply the liquid to your hair. I always section my hair into parts and do each part working around my head from the back to the front, then I can pile it up on top of my head and wait the twenty or twenty five minutes it takes to dye my hair.

After waiting the allotted time, you can then rinse the hair dye off. You might be surprised to see the water your rinsing with is a dirty colour and not clear like you might expect from a blonde hair dye.
After rinsing shampoo and you will notice that your hair feel rough like straw. This is where the conditioner comes in, smooth this onto the hair and leave it on for at least five minutes, this gives it time to sink into the hair and you'll see how smooth and soft your hair becomes when it's on, it's like your hair is drinking it in.

If you don't use the conditioner then you'll find that your hair becomes breakable and course, always remember to condition your hair after every wash too as this helps to put back some of the dryness the bleaching of hair takes out of it.

The end result should be soft, shiny lovely ash blonde hair and you'll feel the difference this makes straight away.
I recommend this product as it's quick and easy to use and the colour ranges are really good, from black to blonde and various shades in between.

Have a lovely summer.

I use the nice and easy dyes and they are brilliant. I even have time to do it before work somedays. x

These bottle dyes seem to have improved a great deal since I used to do it myself many years ago. I get my hair highlighted at the hairdressers now, but this was a great review for someone wanting to buy a colourant for the first time. One more thing... run that by me again, you said two words together "summer" and "hot" ... I wish!

Nice review, although I didn't get a feel of your own experience with this. I have used this hair tint for years and swear by it. I also go light in the summer (to offset the fake tan :-) ). I find it leaves my hair silky every time and have not had a feel of breakage at all. Covers grey maginificently.
