Fantastic silky hair from a hair dye...well i never (Clairol Nice 'n' Easy)

Hair dying, all i can say is ive done it all... highlights, panels, bleached, crazy colours, hair dressers professionally dying it i have officially done evrything to my poor hair and today was no different.

I decided since my natural colour has come back through and its quite boring i would go out and buy a nice hair colour so as i was out i spotted nice 'n' easy number 101 natural baby blonde and i instantly fell in love with the colour.

The Packaging

Normal sized bow for a hair dye with a picture of a very smug model on the front with her hair being blown by a wind machine probably, so obviously staged its unreal lol. On the front of the box it has Nice n Easy written in big blue letters with a strage copper swirl by it. Top right hand corner shows you the colours number id and the name of the colour itself. Placed strategically in front of the model is a big sticker stating it includes 6x conditioner treatments which is really good as most hair dyes only accomodate for the initial treatment after the first dye. Finally on the top of the box is a panel dedicated to showing you the hair colour, i spent about 5 minutes comparing it to other tops to see if i wanted lighter or darker lol so i looked a bit strange in the store.

Price
I pruchased mine form a savers store for 3.99 but i have seen it for between 3.50 and 4.50 so i suppose its all about where you shop.

Easy of use.
Nice n easy is exactly what it is. I managed to dye my hair alone which i do have problems with most of the time and have to call my parter in to dye it for me. Mixing the formula was very simple as there is a straight forward instruction sheet provided in the box along with a pair of rubber gloves (so much better than the normal plastic ones that split as soon as you put them on 5 Stars alone for the gloves i think), the mixing formula and the colour. As with normal colour you have to mix the mixture for about 1 - 2 minutes to thicken the mixture and ensure even distribution.

Applying was also very simple, after removing the cap it was simply a case of distributing the mixture onto my roots first on my hand then rubbing it on, this is my prefered method but i know many other do it another way.

After waiting 45 minutes i was ready to wash it out, the instructions state between 25 and 45 minutes depending on the effect you want but as i wanted quite a bright colour i left if for the whole 45. i do not recommend longer than 45 minutes though as the mixture will stop being effective after this and your hair will just suffer for it too.

My hair was quite light to begin with but the mixture turned it a brownish purple which i found quite odd considering i was dying a light colour but as im always ready for an extreme colour i decided to leave it and see how it turned out.

The result

all i can say is WOW. I asked for some help washing the mixture out of my hair and was a little distressed at the pink coloured water i saw running in the bath but i had no reason to worry at all. After thoroughly washing out all of the mixture i added the recommended amount of the provided condition and left it for 3 minutes then washed it out.

AS i dryed my hair i could see the difference striaght away it was lighter and fresher than it has ever been before. The conditioner made my hair feel silky and smooth and i had no problems with styling and drying my hair afterwards which is always a bonus. My hair looks and feels amazing and in my opinion i would always use this product for my hair as it has never felt so good. I have used nice n easy twice now with two different colours and i do believe it is the best product for my hair as it always produces a fantastic colour and leaves my hair feeling fantastic.

Overall a product i recommend to everyone especially first time dyers as it is so much more cost effective than a hair salon and overall just leaves you feeling and looking fantastic.
