Advantages: last long, easy to use, cheap
Disadvantages: there are only a few colours available
I had my original dark blond hair with some red and dark brown stripes in it for years. I was bored of it, so I planned to colour it to dark brown. I went to Sainsbury's and looked at the available products and their prices. Clariol nice 'n easy was 4.57 pounds. Next time I went to Sainsbury's it was on offer, 33% cheaper. I made a quick decision, I bought it and while my kids slept I coloured my hair. I like the new colour and so does my husband. I chose 82 Dark Warm Brown.
Content of the box:
- 2 plastic bottles: 60 ml Creme Colourant and 60 ml developing lotion
- 1 two-minute moisture rich conditioner (15 ml),
- 1 description with two gloves on it.
How to use it?
Using it is really simple. There are two plastic bottles in it, you have to pour the smaller one into the larger one which has an applicator. Shake it and use it almost like a shampoo.
For better result use it on greasy hair, and do not colour your hair when you have your period. My hairdresser told me that in that period of the month our hormones effect somehow the durability of hair dye and permanent wave (perm). I think my hairdresser knows these things from her practice. The greasy hair is better because the hair colour dissolves better as I know.
You have to put it on your hair as shown on the description in the box. You don't have to be as professional as your hairdresser, just take care that your hair becomes wet from this mixture. There are two plastic gloves on the description to protect your hands. It takes 15 minutes to colour your hair, then you can rinse it and use the conditioner, have it on your hair for 1-2 minutes. The amount of the liquid in the box is enough for a shoulder-length hair. If your hair is longer, you have to buy at least one more box of hair colour.

My opinion
Well it has some smell but I wouldn't say it is very bad. It's not a fragrance, but for 15 minutes is OK. I am satisfied with it, lasts long. I have just coloured it again after 2 month. As my hair was dark blond this dark brown became just the same as on the picture on the box. It is said, that non permanent hair dye won't cover the permanent dye, but it did. So as there were some coloured stripes in my hair, now there aren't any. This was my goal, so I am really satisfied with Clariol.
A sentence about the title of my review: I am blonde originally, and there are so many jokes about silly blondes that being brown is an artificial intelligence. lol
Summary: Recommended!
