Clairol Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Shampoo
by hlb2009
I have been using this shampoo for a few weeks now and really rate it. I used to use Herbal Essence range a while ago but hadn't used it for a while. I must admit the reason why I chose this particular shampoo was because I liked the shape of the bottle! I am very glad I did buy it as I really like it and think it has a lovely effect on ... my hair.
This shampoo helps to hydrate your hair. I find that in the winter my hair is dry from all the central heating we have on and it loses it's shine and looks really quite poor. I have tried some repair and protect shampoos to try to help my hair in the winter but none of them really impressed. The hydrating effects of this though seems to do the trick.
This shampoo comes in a really bright blue bottle which is long and tall but slightly wider at the bottom which gives it an interesting shape. The brightness of the bottle is what attracted me to it in the first place in the supermarket and then I smelt it and thought I would buy it. The smell is quite tropical, it is a bit floral but a hint of coconut too which is lovely, it makes a change from the usual soapy smell of the shampoo I had been using.
The shampoo itself is quite thick and that is what I like, it feels more luxurious than when it's really watery and just seems to run down your fingers so quickly you haven't got time to rub it in your hair. I have very thick hair and tend to use a blob about the size of a 50p and find that this is sufficient enough for my hair. The colour of the shampoo may put you off as it's blue! Not as bright as the bottle but definitely blue. I quite like this, it makes it a bit different.
It washes out really nicely and I used some conditioner afterwards too, I find if I don't use conditioner my hair is a nightmare and gets really knotty. The smell of the shampoo did stay on my hair afterwards and my husband commented on how nice it smelt which is nice! After drying my hair with a hairdryer I find that when using this shampoo my hair is really nice. It doesn't feel as dry as normal and it also is easier to brush too as though the hydrating qualities have helped to stop it being so easily knotted.
I think it adds some volume to my hair too and I really like the finished result. It feels very clean and soft and in good health. I definitely recommend using this especially in the winter months when your hair is in need of being hydrated but then saying that in the summer it probably needs it too as it will be warmer outside so in fact I recommend this for all year round! Clairol Herbal Essences Dazzling Shine Shampoo
by ladyradley
I bought this shampoo to have in the house for when my daughter is at home but have found myself using it regularly as it is really lovely. I usually stick to my usual brand but may well be buying this again for myself in future.
It comes in a very modern looking bottle, it is slightly curved at the bottle making it quite ... interesting looking. It is a see through bottle which looks nice on the shelf.
The lid is a flip cap and you then squeeze the shampoo out. It's quite a thick shampoo but it's easy to get it out of the bottle as the bottle can be squeezed a bit.
It lathers up really well so you don't need to use very much, a little bit does go a long way and covers hair well. It's easy to rinse out, some shampoos cling to hair but this one doesn't, it is very easy to rinse out.
The smell is lovely, it's quite fruity but without being really overpowering so it's subtle and the smell lingers on the hair when it's dry but only in a subtle way.
I find that once my hair is dry it feels very nice and clean and light. It does have a nice shine to it, I wouldn't say it is dazzling but it certainly is nice.
I like the effect this shampoo has and also the smell. I think I will be buying this again in the future. Read the complete review |

Clairol Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Shampoo
by basketofbuttons
I am now onto my third bottle of Herbal Essence Totally Twisted Shampoo. I love this, I even love the name. I just paid almost £4 for the larger sized bottle, and whilst this might sound like a lot to pay, it really isn't as I only need to use the smallest amount for a great lather and so the bottle lasts me for ages. I don't use this ... shampoo every time I wash my hair as I like to alternate, but this is a shampoo which is gentle and kind and I'd say it is suitable for regular, everyday use.
I bought this because I am sick and tired of having poker straight hair and I have been trying to encourage some light waves (and even curls) into my hair lately. I am not having much success, but as this product professes to give existing curls extra bounce and shine, I decided that if I washed my hair with this beforehand and then tried to curl it, the waves and curls might just take better and last that little it longer.
The packaging of the bottle is the same as all the others in the Herbal Essence range- slightly curved and one sided. The colour is purple and the shampoo itself is quite thick in consistency, and as I say, I only need to use a very small amount of this to achieve a huge amount of bubbles. This is possibly my favourite smelling shampoo in the whole of the herbal Essence range. It is gorgeous, light and fruity with a background slight herbal fragrance to it.
It rinses off well afterwards and once dried and styled, it's evident that my hair is far less frizzy than it was before. It seems to add a lot of moisture to my hair and on a few occasions after using this shampoo I have even found that there is no need for me to have to use a separate conditioner.
Hand on heart though, I cannot say that my curls or waves last any longer after using this product. They last about the same time. The good thing about it though is that it does make my hair feel very light and bouncy, it gives it much needed added moisture and it also seems to add volume. These are all plus points as far as I'm concerned.
I will keep buying this product as I do really love it and I give it four out of five stars. Read the complete review |
