      Advantages

      Disadvantages

A good concept but could be better.

I purchased this a while ago as part of an effect for fancy dress. Ive only used it twice and not all over only as streaks in my hair (im quite pale and it would look stupid if i did it all over my hair!). It stood out a lot in my hair with it being a medium to dark blonde. I dont think it'd stand out quite as much on darker hair.

Its a great concept and can be quite fun to use but there were a few problems i came up against. These being:
      * The lid and nozzle are a little stiff. I find with the lid you have to pull quite hard slightly squeeze it to yank it off. The nozzle is also a little stiff to press which isnt ideal if your going all over your hair.

*It isnt all that easy to control. You'll need a towel over your shoulders or perhaps wear an old robe u dont mind staining pink!

*It comes off easily. By this i dont mean it comes out your hair but much like fake tan for instance it can rub off onto your pillows if you dont wash it off before you go to bed.

It does wash out easily with a shampoo and rinse and didnt stain my hair at all. If your applying it in streaks I'd reccomend you get a friend (if you trust them enough) to help do it. Also do it in the bathroom where everything is wipe clean. I somehow managed to get some of mine on the floor and sink. Also it may be worth a test run first to see how it comes off in your hair as you might not like the colour it creates and then youd have to wash and redry your hair!

I got this spay quite a while ago so had a quick look online for availability and prices. Not that many places stock it it seems. You can however buy it (alongside a variety of other colours) on the colour fx website (http://www.colour-fx.com/) for £3.59.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Offers colour, but no hold and gives me really, really dry hair!

My flatmate/bestmate has a short punky hair do at the moment and one minute it is one colour next its another. Both of us dye our hair however she more often than not does buy spray in colours and this was one of her latest offerings and so when I spotted it in the bathroom and she said I could help myself to using it I couldn't wait to shock my boyfriend with a pink barnet when he came to stay!

      The Packaging:

This sprays comes in a pink coloured cylinder can and on the front of it we are told that it is 'Punk Pink' ColourfFX and that it sprays in and washes out 'Add attitude to your hair and take colour to the limit', that it is an intense colour hairspray and that it contains UV to give a glow to the hair. Other information stated on the back of the can includes being told how to use it and warnings are given as are the ingredients, the size is stated (which in this case is a 75ml size and the only size I have ever seen this available to purchase in to be honest with you) and contact details for the manufacturer are given. Nice enough and informative enough can this is, slim enough to handle as is it isn't heavy at all and all in all looks nice enough.

      Using The Spray:

I found everything about this spray difficult to get on with. First off to dispense it you have to pull off the lid/cap to the top of it which was really stuck firmly on and then add to that the push button sprayer being really stiff and never getting easier to use. I am not Popeye and seriously I couldn't get it myself to spray on my hair and my mate had to do it for me as she is stronger than I am! That isn't a promising start I remember saying at the time and I wasn't wrong!

So all you do is spray it on to dry hair. Its hard to distribute as the nozzle isn't particulary angled and it went everywhere, luckily there was no real smell given off but you do have to be careful when using this because it does tend to go where it wants to opposed to where you want to and I did end up with a lot of pinky stains all over my head and shoulders (I have long hair) and at the back of my neck.

The colour of this particular spray is a really vibrant pink, I have no quibbles with the colour at all. I have very dark hair, my mate light hair but this shows up equally on both colours and once on it looked nice enough however it made both of ours hair really dry like too much hairspray would and my hair felt ever so grubby as soon as it had been applied to it and I really didn't like my hair feeling so dried out and brittle.

If you forget it is on your hair and finger through it, it transfers, go to bed with it on without washing it out it transfers onto bedding (which is a right pain to get out trust me!) and all over you but it does come off you if you scrub hard enough.

It rinses out easily, I love the colour but everything else I dislike about it. A good concept, a great range of colours to mess about with and it did shock my boyfriend I was a pink head till her realised it wasn't perment but the transfer of this is terrible and trying to use it yourself if your not the strongest of people in the world is nothing short of a nightmare!

This is available in all good chemists (such as Boots and Superdrug) at about £3.10 a can though keep your eyes open for this online....just google it!
