im always on the hunt for a good conditioner to help get rid of my frizz so after trying many of the Lush bath bombs and body butters I thought I should give their hair range a go too! I went into my local Lush store and asked the advice of one of the lovely assistants who told me that Coolaulin and american dream are the best for my hair type. (which is staight with a wave and frizz!!)
So i went ahead and bought a few things but was still unsure about it due to the cost being more than your average conditioner. I then went home looked on ebay and got some for only £4- bargain!
It comes packaged in a whitish bottle with a black lid. When you pour it out it is thickish but not as thick as american dream for comparison. The colour is a whitish creamy colour and the smell is of coconut and well what smells to me like gravel!!! Now this is the bit that really puts me off i must admit! Perhaps it is more natural but I still dont want my hair to smell like gravel! I'm also not sure it makes that much difference to my hair either, it certainly didnt seem loads smoother or shinier which is a shame as I had such high hope for it. I think it also has a tendency to make my hair greasier quicker but the assistant did warm me about this saying that my hair may not be thick enough for it! So perhaps Coolaulin is fabulous just for people with thicker hair! Its one worth trying though, especially if you can get them to give you a free sample which generally they will do!

Summary: an ok conditioner but nothing special!
