... Vegetable Extract Shampoo"!!! The product is sort of yellowy in colour, and as with most waxes is pretty hard set in the tin - something akin to the texture of a soft cheese that has been left in the fridge too long! The smell, however, is certainly not cheesy! It is a very pleasant smell, although it is very difficult to describe. It is not like anything else I have ever smelt, but certainly not unpleasant! It says on the tin you should apply liberally, using your palms to heat the wax and then rubbing into...more

I first used hair wax in my teen years, when I got bored of using the gel that made your hair look like you had dipped it in a deep fat fryer. However, not long later I was back on the gel. . . mainly as at that time my mum was doing the shopping and she always bought gel! The last year or so though, and being away from home has lead to greater freedom in my choice of hair products and have to say this is by far the best of the ones I have tried! I have been through the Garnier Fructis Surf Hair, V05 Extreme Hold as well as various Brylcreem and others (and I must admit most of these have been stolen (or "borrowed") from others - I do not ...

USE THIS! You see, i made the mistake of using VO5's appalling styling wax, a product so lacking in hold that i had to bolster it with a lump of gel. i thought it was my own fault, that my hair was too straight and boring to let the wax do its job... BUT NO! One (long overdue) word with the hairdresser later, and he says: switch to Red Dax, it's stiff as old lard. And he was right! It bends, musses, twists and generally distorts, without ever collapsing. OK, so you have to wash your hair every day to stop your head getting weighed down with this industrial strength gunk, and make sure you put the shampoo on before you wet your hair, else you wont shift it. ...

Dax wave and groom is meant for short hair ie cropped hair. I bought a tin on the recommendation of a friend. I was very impressed with how cheap it was, but that's the only thing I was impressed with unfortunately! The blurb on the tin states that your hair will become more manageable (- suppose it is if its all stuck together!) shiny and healthy looking ( my hair looked dull and lifeless!) I found it to be extremely sticky, it took ages to wash off my hands and as for my hair well that's another story! It comes in a tin and basically you need to melt it down by rubbing it in your hands and then applying it to your hair. The ...
