Advantages: cheap, long-lasting, great hold

Disadvantages: very hard to remove from hair and hands!

I have a very much love-hate relationship with dax. Whilst it is certainly good at holding my hair in place and gives my hair a semi-matt natural look which i like, it is IMPOSSIBLE to get out.

Seriously, you will not get this product out of you're hair. The best solution i found to get it out was t&g detox shampoo, but thats about it.

despite this, it is very cheap and last for ever, it is also very good at sorting my hair out on a morning, although it should only every be used on completely dry and clean hair in my experience. applying it to dirty hair = greasy. and if your hair is wet it simply wont hold it. It is also extremely hard to get off your hands after use, espeically i use quite a bit. use clearex to get it of but dont apply water to hands until thoroughy cleaned. seems to work for me.

Final think to mention is, if you get your hair cut anywhere decent, do not tell them you use dax, they will not approve! This has only made me think, coupled with the inability to remove it from my hair, that it is quite bad for your hair.

You will either love or hate it, but its certainly worth a try for a long-lasting hair product under £4. I love it.

Summary: great product in my view, cheap and does what it says
