Dax 'Wave & Groom' is a hair wax that I have now been using for the best part of a year, since switching from Garnier Fructis Style Wax, which I occasionally revert back to for a couple of days when my Dax runs out.

This Dax wax comes in the red tin and is expressly usable on short hair, although when my hair was quite a bit longer than what I would define as 'short,' it still did the trick to maintain my styled look. It is very good for short hair in that it holds the style for a very long time (even overnight - I can go on a night out, go to bed and wake up the next morning with my hair looking identical!)

It is also very resistant to the rain, unless it is absolutely chucking it down but I'm pretty confident that not many (if not any at all) hair waxes can protect against the most adverse of weather conditions. The texture of the wax itself is very thick and smells of honey I would say. Due to the thickness it is best to apply a liberal amount, rather than a generous helping, as the major downside of Dax is that it takes an age to wash out. The best way to wash it out however, is to apply shampoo to your dry head of hair, rub it in, and then wash it out with water.

Overall, I love Dax - it's a little difficult to get out sometimes but it holds my style very well, smells pretty nice and is fairly inexpensive
