      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      Avoid, this is completely useful

Obviously this is a product aimed at kids. However, I tend to find that kids detangling stuff is about twenty times cheaper than stuff aimed at adults so when I found this for a pound, I thought why not?

Why not indeed? This seems cheap, but it does nothing I couldn't more cheaply achieve by spraying water on my hair. Frankly, I wish I'd stuck to that.

They've tied this in to the film Tangled, obviously to appeal to little girls. I suspect they're leaning on this to sell the product rather than actually making a quality product. The bottle is pretty, if you're an eight year old girl, and it comes with a spray so you can squirt it onto your hair and that, I'm afraid, is where the good stuff ends.

I'm not sure exactly how this is meant to detangle your hair - maybe by conditioning it? All it did for me was make my hair slightly damp. I tried using a little bit, I tried using quarter of a bottle and it did nothing. I have quite thick hair but still I would expect something.

Put this on the list of useless film tie-ins and buy your daughter something which actually works.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

An essential item for any child who's gets their hair tangeled

      =Disney Princess Tangled Detangling Spray=

Normally I have a couple of bottles of Avon detangler spare, for my daughters hair, but I have used them and forgot to replace them. The detangling spray comes into its own on holidays as my daughter is a water baby, but the swimming and chlorine just make her hair a nightmare.

      =Home Bargains=
Popped into Home Bargains to see if they have any form of detangler, and I saw this Disney Rapunzel detangler for £1.

      =The Product=
This was a girly pale pink coloured bottle, with a picture of Rapunzel on the front, and the top of the bottle is a spray top. The bottle has 200ml liquid. On the reverse of the bottle, there is directions to use the spray, it also tells you the spray is mils and gentle enough for everyday use.

      =Directions=
You shake well before use, spray onto wet hair evenly and comb through, and this leaves the hair free of tangles. You do not rinse out.

      =My daughters Hair=
Even shampoo and conditioning it, whilst away, we needed that extra help with her hair, what I did was to section parts of her hair off with some bubbles and then concentrate on one part at a time, spraying and combing through, then when her whole head had been done, give it a quick final spray and a couple of good brushes through.

      =List of ingredients =
Aqua, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, PEG-12 Dimethicone, Parfum, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Quaternium-15, Methylisothiazolinone, Tocopheryl Acetate, Panthenol, Benzyl Benzoate, Hexyl Cinnamal, Linaalool, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Cirtonellol.

      =My Verdict=
Wow, the difference it made by using this detangler was brilliant, for any parent that has to try to get knots, tangles, or the bird nest when it gets really messed up, this is the equivalent of winning the lottery, I had visions of having to cut this really messy piece out. but within 4 days of detangling her hair, from there we only needed to give it a quick spray, one good comb through and everything was perfect with her hair.

      =Disney Princess=
anything that gets marketed from Disney is not always the best of prices, I saw this advertised on the Boots website for £5 a bottle, and only paying £1, wow, I ended up ringing home from Tunisia to get the family to get 6 bottles to store ready for use. I was that impressed with it.

      =Returning Home=
I have started to use this on a weekly basis in conjunction with the nit comb, not that we have nits, but prevention is better than cure and this helps the nit comb glide through the hair.
      =My experience=
I found the spray really easy to use, as soon as you pulled the trigger element, the spray came from the bottle, a little went a long way in terms of what you get for one spray, but it was non-greasy, and handling my daughters hair whilst trying to brush it, I don't drop the brush. just washed my hands when I finished.

      =Shelf Life=
Once you have opened the bottle the product says it has a 12 month shelf life.

      =Hair styles=
This is really versatile. it literally has 1001 uses, as if your trying to do plaits, and are in a rush, a quick squirt of this and the hair just falls into place.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Great price, does what it should and smell lovely

Prior to discovering the Tangle Teezer, hair brushing time for my daughter used to be a complete nightmare as she has inherited my type of hair. Just like me, she goes to bed with perfectly straight hair, but wakes up in the morning looking like she has never seen a brush! In the past, I have brought the detangling spray from Avon however Lauren actually spotted this in Home Bargains one day and put it in my basket.

I don't actually think she knew what it was when she picked it up, she was just attracted to the bottle as the colour scheme and the picture of Rapunzel. The bottle measures around 9 inches tall and holds 200ml of fluid, it is a nice pink pastel pink colour, topped with an aqua coloured pump dispenser. The bottle has the official Disney logo to the front, along with Rapunzel and some pretty flowers.

I brought mine from Home Bargains and it cost me £1 which is slightly cheaper than versions I have brought in the past. I have been told that this is available in other discount store too for a similar price and it is also available on Amazon but a little more expensive with postage on top too.

To use, just give a little spray to the area of hair you want to detangle and comb through, the spray is really good and gives nice even coverage and quite a fine mist, it doesn't weight her hair down or make it look greasy/dirty like some other products can. Immediately after spraying, I can brush Laurens hair easily; the hairbrush glides through with minimal tugging (and best of all, no tears!) I have used on both wet and dry hair and found that this works well on both, we now leave it in her swimming bag as I always find hair a nightmare to brush after swimming. The spray itself has quite a nice fragrance, it is meant to be that of kiwi and watermelon, I cannot really smell the kiwi but I can definitely smell the watermelon, it reminds me of being abroad! The fragrance isn't too overpowering but does have good staying power and last a good few hours.

According to the bottle, the spray is designed to be gentle and mild, we haven't experienced any issues using it, nor has it damaged our hair, infact, it has probably helped the overall condition as we haven't been tugging so much at our locks. It also states suitable for everyday use, again, at one point, we were using this on a daily basis and have no concerns.

Overall, I would recommend this product; it does what it should and smells quite nice too, so 5 out of 5 stars from me.

      Thanks for reading.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        For tangle free hair.

== Disney Let Your Hair Down Detangler ==

        ==What Is It ? ==

The detangler is for use after normal washing and conditioning , and is used on wet hair to help comb out any tangles . It comes in a pump action spray bottle and contains 200 ml of the product . There is a picture of Rapunzel on the front and directions of use on the back . It tells you it is mild and gentle enough for everyday use on gorgeous flowing hair.
The directions for use are shake well before use, spray wet hair evenly and comb through for hair free of tangles. Do not rinse.

        List of ingredients
Aqua, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, PEG-12 Dimethicone, Parfum, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Quaternium-15, Methylisothiazolinone, Tocopheryl Acetate, Panthenol, Benzyl Benzoate, Hexyl Cinnamal, Linaalool, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Cirtonellol.

        == Why I Bought It ==

I bought this for detangler for my daughter, who loves Rapunzel and all things Disney Princess. She also has very long hair , it almost touches the chair when she is sat down and as she is only 5 she does suffer from tangles . I was lucky enough to find it in Poundland for obviously £1 and bought a couple of bottles as it was a good price for a detangler let alone a Disney one.

I personally use this every Sunday, when as a precaution I comb through both my children's hair with a Nitty-Gritty comb [ for head-lice] . I do this every week , as with them both being school age and having very dark brown/black hair I like to catch the critters early if there is any about .
It is very easy to use , the pump spray is easy to trigger even if your hands get a little greasy from the spray . The spray goes on with a small coverage zone and leaves the hair [and not the whole room] with a coating that makes it very easy to brush through. You don't need lots of the product so it is very long lasting , although on the bottle it does say it lasts 12 months when opened.
My husband also uses this on our daughter when he is doing the school run and needs to tie her hair up. As he isn't as good as I am styling her hair , he uses a couple of sprays to help comb it into a ponytail .

        == My Thoughts ==

As a detangler this is a great product , it does what it says and certainly helps hair be tangle free.
For the price you can't go wrong and it's as good as the Avon detangler I have used in the past .
The ingredients list is scary and I will be honest I have no idea what most of them are , but in use as a detangler it hasn't caused any damage to my children's hair when used on average 3 times a week.

5 out of 5 for knot free hair.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          For hair to rival Rapunzel.

Ever since I was young, I've always had quite knotty hair. I think this is down to the fact that my hair is quite thin, but there is an awful lot of it! After washing my hair, getting through all the knots can be quite the chore. Because of this, I decided to buy a detangling spray. I had not used one of these since I was a child, and I was hoping I could find an adult version. I looked in Boots and saw that many were priced around £5 and upwards. I was not willing to pay this price, so I gave up on looking for one.

I popped into a Home Bargains near where I work to grab some toiletries which I'd ran out of. That was when I saw this Disney Princess Tangled detangling spray. I know it is aimed at kids, but I figured if it does the job then it is fine. It was only 99p, and I think that is the reason I mainly bought it. When you compare 99p to the 'adult' versions stocked in Boots that are five times the price, I know which I'd rather buy! Unfortunately, I have never seen this stocked anywhere else so check out your local Home Bargains if you are interested.

The spray comes in a generous 200ml bottle which is tall and quite thin. It is a substantial amount to last a good few months with daily use. It comes in a gorgeous baby pink bottle, and the spray dispenser is baby pink in colour. A picture of Rapunzel from Tangled is displayed on the front. The design is very attractive for children, and would definitely encourage them to use it more. Although not particularly to adult taste, I was more bothered about its effectiveness.

The first, and only problem I encountered with this spray was the spray dispenser. I know sometimes products can be awkward when you have to keep twisting about to 'open' it to use the product. This took me quite a while to figure out, which is not very good particularly if you are using this on impatient kids! Once I had mine open, I have just left it open so I don't have to keep fiddling with it. It could have been much better designed, but once it is open the spray comes out fine.

The spray is so simple to use, and makes a huge difference to my hair, and I am sure it would be just as great on childrens. I wait until my hair is dry, and I like to spray this on just before I straighten it. This is because I always give my hair a good brush through before straightening. I just spritz this evenly all over my hair. My hair comes to just under my shoulders, and I would say about six to ten sprays is sufficient. The first thing I noticed when spraying this was the gorgeous smell. It is such a fruity and fresh scent which really compliments the hair, although it does not last throughout the day unfortunately. Due to its lovely scent, it makes it more appealing for children when brushing through their knots - which is a great plus! I can not fault the scent one bit.

Although my hair does still have little knots when brushing through with this spray, it is a huge difference in comparison to not using the spray. It is also much less painful which is great for kids. I can not believe how much simpler it is and it makes brushing my hair much less of a chore. Obviously it does not work miracles and make knots disappear altogether, it just makes brushing through them much simpler. If there is a big or tight knot, I recommend spraying this directly to the knot and then brushing through.

Overall, I would highly recommend this detangling spray for both little princesses and bigger ones alike! It smells gorgeous, does the job and for under £1.00. Obviously it does not give added effects such as shiny hair or a sleek finish, but it does what it claims so I am happy with it. Check out your local Home Bargains if you want to pick one up. Thanks for reading.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

            A good detangling spray

My eldest daughter absolutely hates getting her hair brushed, so I am always on the look out for a decent detangling spray in the hope that it will make life a bit easier, and quieter! Whilst in Home and Bargain a few weeks ago I spotted this detangling spray for a mere 99p so thought I had nothing to loose by giving it a go.

This is a Disney product and I liked that they have linked a detangling spray product with the film Tangled, quiet clever. This bottle is really beautiful and caught my eye straight away whilst in the shop. The bottle is a long cylinder shape in light baby pink. The Disney logo is situated right at the top. In the middle is a lovely picture of Rapunzel from the film Tangled, she is gazing longingly into the distance and is surrounded by a colourful array of flowers. "Let your hair down" is written above the picture in shiney pink lettering. In the same style but at the bottom of the bottle it reads "Mild and gentle Detangler 200ml" My daughter loved the packaging  and found it very appealing. She is currently into the whole Disney Princess theme at the moment so I was not suprised with how well it was received by her.

On the reverse we are given all the usual information including ingredients. Instructions are also given:

"Shake well before use. Spray hair evenly and comb through for hair free of tangles. Do not rinse".

As with similar products warnings are given to keep out of eyes and to avoid applying to broken or damaged skin. The product is unsuitable for children under three and we have a big red circle with a cross through it to prove the point. Once opened the spray should be used within 12 months.

At the top of the bottle is a fairly large spray trigger in baby blue. Unfortunately no matter how much I pumped it would not spray. I gave up with it in the end, removing it and replacing it with a screw on spray lid from a different bottle I had. I guess it is possible that it was this particular bottle that had this defect and was therefore just a one off. Still, it was fairly annoying and disappointing.

I must say the detangling spray smells absolutely gorgeous! Its very sweet and a smell which would be very appealing to young girls, my daughter loves it. Although I should note that this fragrance does not last long once applied to the hair. The first time I used this I sprayed it onto my daughters wet hair after her shower. It worked very well at getting rid of any pesky knots and made drying and brushing the hair considerably easier. Althought the bottle does not suggest you can, I also applied it to dry hair and it worked just as well. I usually tie my daughters hair into a pony tail for school, and using the spray made this a lot easier. When using this product we have had no problem with knots and the hair was much easier to control. All that being said I felt that the spray could have done a little more. For example many detangling sprays I have used on my daughter before have give an added shine, but this product did not do this.

I did like this spay and if I saw it again for 99p I would probably buy it again. It works well at detangling the hair, smells nice and the Disney Tangled theme makes it very appealing.
