I often use a shampoo and conditioner designed for damaged hair because I frequently have my hair coloured which leaves in quite a poor condition. I was attracted to this product because of the two in one aspect, thinking it would save me time as well as money. I paid £1.99 for 250ml from Boots, which I personally thought was a bargain.

I always associate dove products with a particular 'soapy' smell and this product was no exception, it had the trade mark smell of being a Dove product as well as the trade mark packaging of white bottle with blue cap.

The shampoo itself was very creamy and lathered up well when applied, I found that I didn't need to use more than perhaps the size of an almond to get a good lather all over my hair (I have shoulder length, thick hair) and the product rinsed out easily.

I personally found a couple of issues with this product; firstly it didn't seem to condition as well as using a separate shampoo and conditioner. Although the packing claims it is moisturising, I personally found my hair to be slightly drier and more tangled than usual, although I did find that my hair looked shinier than usual and it did smell nice. Secondly I found that after colouring my hair it faded much more quickly while using this product - I will add that it doesn't say anywhere on its packaging that it is suitable for or designed for coloured hair so that's perhaps more a reflection on me as a user than the product itself.

In future I think it'd pay a little more and stick to a separate shampoo and conditioner
