Loving Dove the way I do I simply couldn't wait to try this shampoo out!
I have dyed jet black hair that is prone to fading in this sunny weather and with working out at the gym for hours a day not only does my hair get greasy and grimy it can get very dull with washing it so frequently! This is why I purchased this!
250ml light dusky pink plastic bottle with a flip top lid concealing a small hole to the top of it. On the front in silver and white writing I'm told it is Dove Therapy, Colour Therapy Shampoo With Repairing Serum and that it's for coloured hair and there is a very small silver 'Dove' emblem on there. On the back of the bottle (all in white writing now) I'm told all about the product, ingredients are listed, size, recycle symbol and a bar-code as all displayed and finally contact details for Unilver (the manufacturers of Dove products) are listed. It's a nice enough and informative bottle and practical to use.
A Bit About The Product According To The Back Of The Bottle....
Coloured hair, vulnerable to fading and damage.
Colour Repair Therapy Shampoo. The advanced repairing serum in the formulation contains millions of micro particles that help repair the surface of damaged hair, caused by the colouring process, helping you to keep the colour in and the damage out. Leaves hair in great condition and with vibrant glossy colour that lasts.
Mild formula - Neutral pH
For frequent use
Me Using It....
Well it's like any shampoo to use of course. Wet hair, use, rinse and repeat if required. All you need of this glossy and fairly thick white liquid is a blob about the size of a 20p piece. It lathers up into big thick white foam quickly, feels really smooth and moisturising and has a lovely smell of richly blended fresh fruits to it.
It rinses out ever so easily and me being me I always repeat the process! Again as you would expect it lathers up again and rinses out again and then if desired you can use a conditioner although you really don't have to if you don't want to cos it gets rid of knots and stuff anyway!
I usually use a separate conditioner but a couple of times recently I've been in to much a hurry to use a conditioner too and that is perfectly fine to do that.
This shampoo leaves hair soft, silky and feeling very strong and healthy. I suffer with slightly greasy roots from time to time and dry/split ends and this is intelligent enough not to upset any of my hair. It leaves hair smelling beautiful (all day long) and feeling so healthy and not only that the glossiness is really gorgeous! It beats frizz, without weighing hair down and this really does above anything else really cleanse the hair of grease and grime with ease!
Use the matching conditioner for the best results (and double the smell!) but for me this is just a really excellent shampoo and as promised I find my hair gets less faded over washing and sunbathing time!
I paid £2.29 for my bottle in Sainsbury's but do look out for this on offer (which more often than not it is) and it's available in all good supermarkets and chemists of course! A great, economical buy....this is!
Summary: A really good purchase if you care about the colour on your hair!
