great shampoo thet helps strengthen your hair

Dove strengthening shampoo ,Essential care range .

      Price , about £2 .29 upwards .

      THE PRODUCT .

Dove strengthening shampoo ,comes in a pale blue plastic bottle. It has the familiar Dove bird logo on the front , and contains 250 mls of shampoo.
The bottle has a pleasant shape , which is easy to handle, especially with wet hands.
It has a flip top lid for easy access , it has a mild perfume which is very pleasant, its not too overpowering . The product has a strengthening effect on hair that is fine and comes out when you brush it, like mine does.

It foams easily when applied to wet hair and is easily rinsed out .

The unique mild cleansing system helps preserve the natural protiens present in your hair , which are essential for beautiful shiny hair .

Dove strengthening shampoo is ideal for frequent use , so is ideal for people who wash their hair every day .

      My own hair experience .

After washing my hair with Dove strengthening shampoo , I used the matching strengthening conditioner my hair felt really clean, soft and when dried didnt leave any hairs in my comb.

I dried my hair naturally in the sun as it was a nice sunny day.

I find this shampoo to be one of the better ones I have tried. as it seems to make my hair feel smoother and sleeker.

It certainly helps my unruly hair behave itself.

I would highly reccomend this shampoo .

I will give this product 4 stars ,because there was not as much lingering, just washed smell on my hair as there is with other shampoos.

      Thanks for reading my review

A good conditioner from a reputable company!

My hair tends to get greasy very quickly and so I end up washing it every day, as I hate the feel and look of greasy hair. I therefore go through quite a lot of shampoo, despite not having as long hair as I used to, however I never use conditioner, unless I have put a dye or highlights in my hair and would condition at the time. Although my hair is fine and fly away it is not dry and so I suppose I have always felt that I didn't need or want the hassle of having to condition after shampooing.

A few months ago however, I got a free sample sent to me in the post from Dove of a intense repair conditioner, part of the Dove damage repair products. My little sample bottle does not obviously resemble the picture at the top of the screen. When I received this product I actually put it away in the cupboard for use another time, however with a baby on the way, I am conscious that I must start to de clutter and make space, and so I took it out and put it in the shower to force me to start using it.

THe other morning at the weekend when I had a little more time, I decided to give the product a go. On the front of my little sample bottle, it states that this conditioner includes micro moisture serum and fibre actives. Now, as I said my hair is not dry or damaged and so I wasn't really using it for this reason and instead simply wanted to use the product up to get it out of my cupboard.

After shampooing and rinsing my hair clean, I applied a liberal amount of this conditioner to my hair. Now, of the limited times that I have used a conditioner on my hair, I am always amazed at the lovely almost baby fresh smell that a lot of conditioners have, and also the smooth softness with which it goes onto your hair. Like other conditioners this product is very easy to apply. I left it for a few minutes, although there were no instructions on my sample box to tell me how long to leave it (as I said I am not used to conditioners) and then washed it out. THe lovely soft and smooth feeling of my wet hair was lovely, it really just felt conditioned.

The real test however would be when I actually dried my hair, whether I would notice any difference. It certainly made my hair easy to brush through and didn't leave any tangles and after drying I have to admit that I did find that it made my hair softer and smoother, and looking glossy, although some of that may be done to the shampoo as well, but it certainly felt silkier than usual. In terms of its impact on the dryness or damage to my hair, I cannot really comment on that, but I do think that in terms of leaving your hair in good 'condition' it is worth using.

As much as I like the product, I still don't really think that I could be bothered with the extra hassle in the morning, and I don't think I really need it to be honest, well certainly not at the moment. If you do use a conditioner regularly however, I would definitely suggest giving this a go, as it does leave your hair feeling silkier and smoother and looking glossy. I like alldove products that I have ever tried, and although I may not buy this myself for the reasons given, I do think it is another good product from the company.

      Dove Conditioner

I use Dove products all the time, deodorant, body lotion etc but I had never used one of their hair conditioners until I got a free sample in the post with an order I made from Asos a few weeks ago. I really like their body care products as I think they produce really good quality products and have a really good company ethic so I was looking forward to trying out their conditioner.

This conditioner is part of their Damage Therapy range. According to the literature that came with the product, the damage therapy range is a complete range of expert damage hair care solutions. Each product provides nourishment and protection to the hair with its Micro Moisture serum technology. This is meant to give you a new incredibly superior smoothness and a super softness experience on both wet and dry hair.

I could definitely feel this conditioner coat my hair in the shower. It seemed to give my hair a really nice covering and I could work it through my hair really easily and quickly. I left it on my hair in the shower for a few minutes like I always do and when I washed it out I could feel my wet hair being really smooth and silky. Once I had dried my hair the conditioner seemed to give it a bit more bounce and a nice texture. My hair was in no way heavy or sticky and greasy like some conditioners can do to your hair. After time I really feel like this has given my hair a really nice condition and made it stronger and it looks healthier too. Apparently this is achieved by the Fibre Active Technology that Dove have added to this product. The technology penetrates deep inside the hair to rebind damaged proteins and reconstruct internally without weighing down the hair. I really found this to be true.

They also have a Micro Moisture Serum Technology which they patented and this gives a superior surface repair which intensely nourishes and seals lifted cuticles to protect against future damage. SO this product is not only good for your hair now but it helps to keep your hair protected for the future.

A good product which I definitely recommend!

My hair needed intense care and this delivered!

I will confess to being a bit of a tart when it comes to shampoo and conditioner, changing them frequently according to what is on offer or just happens to take my fancy. And that was exactly what happened with Dove Intense Care Therapy Dry & Damaged hair conditioner.

I have always liked Dove products in the past, although I am not particularly loyal to any brand, as my reviews will no doubt reflect! However I have never tried any of their hair products before so was a bit unsure what to expect in this case.

The product was on offer in Tesco at the time of purchase, just £1 a bottle as opposed to the normal price of around £2. My hair has been lightened for years and recently had a bit of a traumatic colouring experience which had to be corrected in a salon (essentially bleached out and recoloured - ouch!) so needs a bit of TLC at the best of times and more so at the moment than ever. I had just been for a haircut so my hair was feeling healthier than normal and I was keen to find something that would preserve that 'just cut' feeling.

The packaging for this is, as you can see, quite uninspiring; a rich blue colured bottle with white writing and the Dove logo in gold. Its ok and easy to spot on the supermarket shelf but not particularly attractive to my mind. The flip lid makes the product easy to dispense with wet hands and the bottle fits comfortably in the palm of your hand making it easy to hold. The product itself is creamy looking and thicker than I expected, more of a creme than a liquid. I only used a small blob on my shoulder length hair as I wasn't sure whether it would leave a residue or not. This amount - about a 10p sized blob - was more than sufficient. The product didn't really have a fragrance which was good for me as I rarely use matching shampoo and conditioner so wouldn't want a strong scent that would conflict with my shampoo. The product felt silky on my hair and very easy to distribute throughout the lower half of my hair. As always, I made sure it was massaged in right to the ends. I was impressed with how easy this product was to apply, a small amount gave good coverage and I didn't feel I had to work to hard to distribute it or that I needed any extra. It also rinsed out quickly and felt as though it was leaving my hair tangle free.

When I came to dry my hair, it was easy to brush and didn't tangle at all. Due to my hair being in poor condition I often found it would tangle and snag once it started to dry but with this conditioner, I found that did not happen at all. In fact, this is the first conditioner I have ever used (including more expensive salon products) that totally prevented this snagging. The only slight complaint is that I found it slightly harder to style my hair than normal; my hair is more or less straight with a slight wave which I can normally control with careful drying. I found after using this that my wave seemed a bit more stubborn. However, I usually run the straighteners through to finish anyway so all it means is that I have to spend a minute or two longer using them. I am happy to put up with this in light of how soft and healthy my hair feels. It has now been five weeks since my hair cut and my ends still feel fabulous, really healthy and soft. I wouldn't say that this product has given my hair any added bounce or shininess, and I suspect that once my hair has recovered a bit more, the conditioner might prove to be a little too heavy for my hair, which is quite fine. However for restoring damaged hair I would definitely recommend it, my hair looks and more importantly feels like it has never been coloured. I can't stop running my fingers through it even after 5 weeks of use and wil definitely continue using it until my hair is strong enough to stand on its own two feet again!

A lovely haircare product from Dove

I love Dove products, every thing from handwash, to soap, deodorant to shower gel, so when I came across Dove Therapy conditioner I had to give it a try, especially when on offer for £1.00!

Like all Dove products it had the Dove logo on the bottle making it stand out from the other products on the shelf. Since I had not tried the Dove rang of haircare I was quite excited to give it a go.

Now my hair is long, thick and quite coarse, so I was really looking forward to giving my hair some Dove TLC. The fragrance of the conditioner is exactly like all the products in the dove range, it smells so clean and fresh just as you would come to expect from Dove.

This conditioner also has a lovely thick consistency, but is still relatively easy to distribute through my hair. I usually use a good sized dollop of other conditioners, and thinking that I would need the same, I gave my hair a generous helping. I need not have been so frivolous, I think I put on way too much the first time I used this, but I now have worked out just right amount for my hair. Because it is so rich and creamy you reall do only need a small amount.

When I apply it, it feels as if my hair is 'drinking' up the conditioner. I like to leave it for a few minutes while I'm in the shower to give a really good deep down condition before I rinse off. I was a little concerned that it may be hard to rinse away, but it does rinse off very easily. There is no tell tale residue left behind either.

The big test for me when using a conditioner is the 'snag' test. When I comb my hair with a wide tooth comb if it snags, its bad, but if the comb glides through with minimal fuss, then I'm on to a winner. Which in the case of Dove, the ease with which I combed my hair, was for me a resounding success!

The fragrance of this conditioner manages to linger for a while in my hair which is pretty good as I love the scent of Dove products. My hair always looks great after using this conditioner, it drys well, looks healthy and has a nice shine. No evidence of any dryness at all.

I love this conditioner, and better still it is such a bargain at only £1.00. I purchased mine at Semi Chem but I'm sure it is available at most supermarkets and chemists.

Would I buy this again? Without a doubt, its great value, moisturises well and keeps my hair in tip top conditon oh yes and smells great too.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          Fantastic and simple product

This is my new favourite conditioner! I bought it more out of necessity than anything as I'd run out of my usual conditioner, and I was most pleasantly surprised...

          *** Packaging ***

The conditioner is easy to spot as being by Dove, as it comes in the trademark midnight-blue bottle with white writing and flying bird logo. The bottle has a flip-top at its base for ease of use in the shower and its teardrop shape also makes it easy to grip and squeeze.

          *** Product claims ***

Dove say this conditioner contains repairing serum and microparticles that repair the hair's surface and prevent splitting without weighing down the hair.

A bit about my hair type - it's very fine and smooth and not damaged as such but I do use a hairdryer and as it's really long and has a tendency to get dry and split at the ends if I'm not careful. Therefore I like to play safe and use products for dry hair before any real damage sets in. I usually wash it every other evening.

          *** How to use ***

Like with most conditioners, simply massage a small blob into the ends of your hair after washing and rinsing. I always brush it through with my fingers and leave it for slightly longer than the recommended 1-3 minutes. The smell is fresh and pleasant.

          *** Results ***

The first time I used this my hair felt different as soon as I got out of the shower and squeezed the water out with my towel. Even though it was still wet my hair felt smoother, and this was confirmed when I combed it through to find my parting - the comb glided through much more easily than is usually the case. I tend to let my hair dry naturally then finish it off for a few minutes with the hairdryer before going to bed, usually using a blow-dry cream for smoothness and heat protection. I had run out of the cream on this occasion so just dried my hair off as it was, and was really surprised to discover that it ended up softer and silkier than normal.

The next morning my hair had stayed the way I'd styled it and only needed a quick brush - again I was amazed. Throughout the day it remained in place and I occasionally absent-mindedly touched my ponytail and noticed how smooth it felt. What struck me just as much as the silkiness was how clean it felt. The next day my hair was still silky and stayed in place right up until I washed it that evening. When I came to wash it it felt lighter and less dirty than usual.

I've tried so many hair products that don't do what they say on the bottle that I'm bowled over by this conditioner. It really does seem the right product for my hair type and does exactly what it promises. My hair is softer and less prone to split ends since brushes and combs jut glide through it. It's also a great value product at around £2.39 for 200ml. Highly recommended.
