Advantages: Everything about it is brill
Disadvantages: None for me!
Using a matching shampoo to any conditioner I buy, to me, is incredibly important! I'm a very matchy matchy sort of gal anyway and I like to use products such as a shampoo and conditioner that are the same fragrance!
I bought this at the same time as I purchased the matching Dove Shampoo (please read review if interested) and it cost me £2.29 in Boots (the same as the shampoo but do look out for special offers that seem to be on this around and about at the moment).
The Packaging....
200ml dark, shiny blue slightly domed shape flip top opening (to the bottom and concealing a small hole) bottle. On the front in white and silver writing I'm told it is Dove Therapy Intensive Care Therapy Conditioner With Repairing Serum for Dry & Damaged hair. On the back of the bottle and all in small white writing I'm told a bit about the product and given a warning on what to do if you get the product in your eyes, ingredients and contact details for Unliver (the manufactures of Dove products) are given, size, recycle symbol and the bar-code are displayed. Nice enough, sleek packaging that is sturdy and informative and doesn't look one bit cheap or nasty...so I like it!

Using It....
Well interestingly enough there are no directions for use given on the bottle. I assume in that case it's a rub on the hair job and rinse off but me I leave it a couple of minutes on my hair or if I'm in the bath and with time to pamper myself I will leave it as long as I choose (which can be over an over an hour if I'm in a lazy mood lol).
I wash my hair with shampoo a couple of times and well rinse it after thoroughly. I then gently comb my hair through and gently ring out excess moisture. I then squeeze some of the white glossy liquid into my hands.
Even though I have long hair (past shoulder length) I really do find I don't need more than a 10p sized blob amount of this rather creamy and fruity, fresh liquid which isn't runny but isn't stiff either. It smells really rich and fruity but well blended and none distinctive.
I then gently run in through my hair from root to the ends and once again gently comb through to make sure it's evenly distributed throughout all of my hair.
I then leave it for as long as I wish (as I explained earlier) and what happens is the whiteness of the liquid is absorbed into the hair so it becomes invisible. It's incredibly smooth during application and not soapy and when it's on the head feels like velvet. Then I wash it out which doesn't take alot of doing as it's easily removable and then of course I dry my hair and then comb it and style as usual.
I'm left with incredibly smooth hair that people just want to touch (no matter how long I leave it on my hair to do it's job). Not only does it smell amazing (and really hold that smell for a day or so) hair looks glossy rather than shiny and incredibly healthy. It smooths and softens dry split ends a treat without upsetting my greasy roots and although hair is wonderfully soft it doesn't weigh it down with grease (the serum in it) and doesn't make it so soft hair is difficult to style. My hair just looks vibrant and alive and so comfortable to wear.
I can't vouch for the fact it's a repairing serum conditioner full stop. I would say it prevents further damage by being so kind to the hair and really coating it in something that protects it but as for repairing issues.... I doubt it. However whilst I've been using it my hair really has felt healthier and a damn sight stronger and easier to style and get to behave itself!
Overall....
I really do rate these shampoo's and conditioners. So much so I have been faithful and decided to stick to this brand for a good while as the results speak for themselves and I rushed out and bought some more before I run out of it! People are actually complimenting me too on my glossy, manageable hair and me, I'll tell anyone who will listen about these marvelous products, they really are a find!
Bare in mind only to use these particular products containing serum on dry and very damaged hair though or they may give other hair-types major problems and not be suitable! Brilliant for me though and it has really tamed my awful barnet!
Summary: A real find!
